The Senior Chemist Performs advanced analytical testing of dietary supplement, cosmetic, personal care, and related products using established and emerging analytical methodologies. Responsible for generating, interpreting, and reviewing analytical data; troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation; supporting method development and validation activities; and serving as a technical resource within the laboratory. Ensures compliance with quality, accreditation, and regulatory requirements while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.\nResponsibilities:\nPerform complex analytical testing using techniques including HPLC, GC, LC/MS, GC/MS, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV-Vis, FTIR, titration, gravimetric analysis, and other approved methodologies.\n\nPrepare samples, standards, reagents, calibration solutions, and quality control materials in accordance with approved procedures.\n\nReview, interpret, and evaluate analytical data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with quality requirements.\n\nIdentify atypical, out-of-specification (OOS), or questionable results and assist with investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.\n\nOperate, calibrate, maintain, qualify, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities as applicable.\n\nParticipate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities required by ISO 17025 and other accreditation standards.\n\nMaintain analytical records, instrument logs, calibration records, and quality documentation in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.\n\nAssist in the development, optimization, validation, and implementation of analytical methods and laboratory procedures.\n\nDraft, revise, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical documentation.\n\nServe as a technical resource for laboratory personnel and provide guidance on analytical methodologies, instrumentation, and troubleshooting.\n\nTrain and mentor laboratory personnel on laboratory techniques, instrumentation, quality systems, and laboratory procedures.\n\nCross-train across multiple laboratory functions and provide operational support as needed.\nAssist laboratory leadership with workflow coordination, technical problem solving, and departmental initiatives.\nCollaborate effectively with Quality, Operations, Customer Service, and other departments to support organizational objectives.\n\nPlan and prioritize workload to meet established turnaround times, customer expectations, and business needs.\n\nLearn and implement new technologies, analytical techniques, and best practices as appropriate.Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline required.\nMinimum five years of analytical laboratory experience required.\nAdvanced knowledge of analytical chemistry principles, instrumentation, and laboratory methodologies.\nKnowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and ISO 17025 requirements\nExperience with method development, method validation, and analytical troubleshooting preferred.\nExperience training or mentoring laboratory personnel preferred.\nStrong quantitative, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency with laboratory information systems, chromatography software, and data acquisition system\nPhysical Demands:\nDexterity of hands and fingers to operate laboratory instruments, computers, and testing equipment.\nAbility to stand, walk, and perform laboratory activities for extended periods.\nExposure to laboratory chemicals, solvents, reagents, and analytical instrumentation.\nAbility to perform repetitive motions including pipetting, weighing, and sample preparation.\nAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\nColor vision and depth perception required.\nWork environment may include varying temperatures, laboratory noise, and fast-paced analytical workflow\nSchedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM \n*]:pointer-events-auto [content-visibility:auto] supports-[content-visibility:auto]:[contain-intrinsic-size:auto_100lvh] scroll-mt-[calc(var(--header-height)+min(200px,max(70px,20svh)))]\" data-turn-id=\"request-WEB:5caf57a4-bfbe-4957-8ec6-c7b4b55e8248-0\" data-testid=\"conversation-turn-2\" data-scroll-anchor=\"true\" data-turn=\"assistant\">\nThe compensation details provided below reflect the expected pay range for this role, based on the selected compensation structure and applicable guidelines.
