You will build high-quality systems, influence architecture, and improve reliability and performance across our applications.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn end-to-end delivery of features (design → deployment → support)\n\nBuild scalable, maintainable systems for evolving product needs\n\nPartner with product to clarify requirements and deliver practical solutions\n\nImprove reliability and code quality through strong engineering practices\n\nParticipate in on-call rotation and contribute to operational excellence\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years building and maintaining production-grade systems\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity\n\nAbility to independently define solutions and contribute to architecture\n\nTrack record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments\n\nStrong engineering fundamentals (testing, clean code, maintainability)\n\nExperience improving system performance and reliability\n\nStrong written/verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration\n\nStrong code review skills and a mindset of raising engineering standards\n\nWillingness to participate in on-call and incident response\n\nExperience working with sensitive data and security best practices (PII)\n\nExperience with AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and MCP servers.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with microservices or distributed systems\n\nExperience building data-intensive or large-scale platforms\n\nFamiliarity with healthcare, compliance, or regulated environments\n\nExperience with Master Data Management (MDM) or entity resolution systems\n\nExperience reducing technical debt through iterative refactoring\n\nExperience improving developer productivity through CI/CD and tooling\n\nTechnologies & Tools\nGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)\n\nJava (Java 21 preferred) with Quarkus\n\nReact / TypeScript\n\nREST APIs and distributed systems\n\nDocker and Kubernetes\n\nCI/CD (GitHub Actions)\n\nMonitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Sentry)\n\nData platforms (Spanner, BigQuery)\n\nKafka\n\nAI Tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex)\n\nBenefits of Working at Certify\nAt Certify, we’re building with intention and taking care of the people doing the work.\n\nYour well-being matters to us.
