This role monitors inventory transactions, cycle counts, material movements, and reconciliations, and ensures established procedures are followed to maintain inventory accuracy, traceability, and material availability.\nWorking cross-functionally with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering, this role coordinates inventory priorities, resolves routine discrepancies, and supports accurate material flow and inventory controls that enable production execution.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nOversee daily inventory activities, including cycle counts, material transfers, reconciliations, and inventory adjustments to maintain accurate records.\nMonitor physical and system inventory to identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and coordinate corrective actions within established procedures.\nEnsure serialized, lot-controlled, shelf-life, and other controlled materials are identified, stored, and transacted according to applicable requirements.\nCoordinate material movement between receiving, stockrooms, warehouses, and production areas to support manufacturing schedules and material availability.\nMonitor inventory locations, replenishment needs, shortages, and aging material to identify issues that could affect production.\nAddress material constraints in coordination with manufacturing and supply chain to maintain timely production support.\nAdminister cycle count and physical inventory activities by assigning counts, reviewing variances, and ensuring required documentation is completed.\nEnforce established inventory procedures, material traceability requirements, and AS9100-related controls to maintain accurate and audit-ready records.\nIdentify recurring inventory issues and implement approved improvements to material handling and inventory control processes.\nSupervise inventory personnel by assigning daily work, monitoring performance, and providing instruction and feedback on established procedures.\nTrain employees in inventory transactions, material handling, safety requirements, and standard work to promote consistent execution.\nCoordinate team workload and assignments across cycle counts, transactions, and material handling activities, reinforcing accountability, organization, and attention to detail.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nAssociate degree (AA) or formal occupational training or certification in inventory management, supply chain, manufacturing, or a related field with 4 years of related experience, or a Bachelor's degree in progress with related experience in inventory control, materials management, or a related discipline.\nDemonstrated leadership or management experience gained in an individual contributor capacity.\nKnowledge of inventory control, materials management, warehousing, and manufacturing material flow principles.\nExperience with cycle counting, physical inventory, inventory reconciliation, and transaction control methods.\nFamiliarity with serialized, lot-controlled, shelf-life, and traceability requirements for aerospace manufacturing materials.\nUnderstanding of receiving, stocking, material issuance, replenishment, and inventory adjustment processes.\nProficiency in AS9100 requirements, material identification, and audit documentation applicable to manufacturing operations.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3514,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"associate","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Space & Aerospace","Satellite Communications"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T23:04:14Z"}],"liveness":{"score":86,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.86,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":66,"reasons":["conf:2","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-24T03:32:07Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":126000,"is_top_pay":true},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/cesiumastro-inventory-supervisor","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/cesiumastro-inventory-supervisor.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-24T03:32:07Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers"}}
