In this position, you will be the face of the IT department for our Florida office. You will interact with staff of all levels, from onboarding new hires to assisting seasoned engineers. Responsible for IT systems, including hardware management, user support, administration, software licensing, compliance with federal standards, and implementing IT processes and procedures. Daily responsibilities include upgrading and maintaining data management systems, choosing computers and hardware upgrades, setting up new users, maintaining the local servers, and assisting users with IT tasks and issues. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, articulate, flexible, quick to grasp business needs, a team player, an excellent written and oral communicator, and eager to learn.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nBuild, deploy, and administer Windows and Ubuntu desktops, laptops, servers, and lab systems, including virtual machines.\nSupport Windows and Linux machines in an Active Directory environment.\nManage network and online file storage.\nRespond to issues in a timely manner via our ticketing system.\nMaintain hardware, software, and licensing inventory and baselines.\nConfigure and maintain conferencing A/V setups and digital signage.\nKeep documentation up to date.\nIdentify software and infrastructure needs and suggest solutions.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in corporate information technology.\nBachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related field.\nExtensive experience with the administration of both Windows and Linux systems.\nGood base knowledge of networking.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nSolid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nStrong customer service orientation\nProficiency with Ubuntu, Windows 11, Windows Server 2019 & 2022, VMware ESXi, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, WSL, and Active Directory. \nExperience with automated management tools.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nImplementing government standards and requirements for IT systems (e.g. NIST 800-171,
