This role contributes to product development by performing RF analyses, evaluating system performance, and resolving routine RF engineering challenges to ensure products satisfy RF performance, reliability, quality, and mission requirements.\nWorking cross-functionally with RF, antenna, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams, this role supports RF engineering activities from concept development through product qualification.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist with the design and development of RF circuits, transceivers, receivers, transmitters, amplifiers, filters, and microwave components.\nPerform RF analyses, circuit simulations, link budget calculations, impedance matching, frequency planning, and performance evaluations.\nReview engineering requirements, RF specifications, simulation results, and technical documentation supporting RF design readiness.\nPerform RF verification, qualification, validation, and troubleshooting activities.\nAnalyze RF measurements, simulation data, laboratory results, and engineering observations to identify trends and recommend solutions.\nSupport root cause investigations, engineering changes, corrective actions, and RF performance improvements.\nCollaborate with RF, antenna, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams supporting RF product development.\nDevelop engineering reports, simulation documentation, RF measurement reports, and engineering change documentation.\nParticipate in design reviews, engineering investigations, product integration, and qualification activities.\nReview RF engineering methods, simulation practices, and development processes to identify opportunities for improvement.\nApply RF engineering methodologies, industry standards, company procedures, and customer requirements throughout product development.\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance RF performance, engineering efficiency, reliability, and quality.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nA Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) from an accredited university or institution.\n2+ years of industry experience in design and analysis of RF electronics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting. \nExperience with professional simulation tools such as CST and ADS, as well as EDA tools such Altium.\nHands-on experience with lab instruments such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nExperience with MATLAB or other programming languages.\nExperience in aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification.\nKnowledge of worst-case circuit analysis, failure method and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis.\nExperience with antenna design.\nKnowledge of EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques.","description_format":"text","description_chars":3405,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"bachelor","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Space & Aerospace","Satellite Communications"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-23T15:34:59Z"}],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":2,"expected_fill_days":54,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-09-26T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/cesiumastro-rf-engineer-ii","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/cesiumastro-rf-engineer-ii.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-27T03:14:50Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3012,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1988,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-28T00:00:00Z"}}}
