Mechanical Engineer supports mechanical engineering activities throughout the product development lifecycle.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop mechanical components, assemblies, structures, mechanisms, and hardware supporting complex products and manufacturing activities.\nConduct engineering analyses, structural evaluations, tolerance studies, thermal assessments, and design trade studies supporting mechanical engineering activities.\nEvaluate engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and technical documentation to support mechanical design decisions.\nDevelop and conduct mechanical testing, verification, qualification, and validation activities supporting engineering and manufacturing objectives.\nEvaluate engineering data, test results, inspection findings, manufacturing information, and product performance to resolve moderately complex mechanical engineering challenges.\nRecommend root cause investigations, engineering changes, corrective actions, and design improvements supporting product reliability and manufacturability.\nCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to support mechanical engineering activities across multiple programs.\nDevelop engineering drawings, 3D models, technical reports, design documentation, bills of materials, engineering change documentation, and engineering recommendations.\nProvide mechanical engineering guidance during design reviews, engineering investigations, manufacturing reviews, and product development activities.\nEvaluate mechanical engineering methodologies, design practices, engineering standards, and product development processes to identify opportunities for improvement.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen product performance, manufacturability, reliability, quality, and engineering effectiveness.\nRecommend improvements to mechanical designs, engineering documentation, development processes, and validation activities.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, industrial design, engineering technology, or a related technical field with 5-8 years of related experience, or Master's degree with 3-6 years of related experience, or PhD with 0-3 years of related experience in mechanical engineering, structural analysis, stress analysis, CAD, product design, or a related engineering discipline.\nIn-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, machine design, mechanical systems, and product development practices.\nExtensive experience designing mechanical components, assemblies, structures, mechanisms, and manufacturing solutions supporting complex products.\nStrong understanding of engineering analysis, structural analysis, tolerance analysis, GD&T, testing, manufacturing processes, and product verification methods.\nDemonstrates the ability to resolve moderately complex mechanical engineering challenges through sound engineering analysis and technical evaluation.\nExercises sound judgment while providing mechanical engineering guidance and recommending technical solutions.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.\nMechanical design, CAD, simulation, and engineering analysis tools, e.g. SolidWorks, Creo, ANSYS, MATLAB, or equivalent applications.\nEngineering documentation, PLM, ERP, and collaboration tools, e.g. Windchill, SAP, Jira, or equivalent
