We are seeking a digital-focused Principal Electrical Design Engineer with deep expertise in electrical design and test, as well as the ability to help drive overall program direction. This position requires strong attention to detail, rigorous design reviews, and a solid understanding of relevant industry standards.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. \nMinimum of 8 years of relevant experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test. \nSignificant experience designing electronics with rigor, in teams that value thorough analysis and testing. \nExpertise in aspects of digital and mixed-signal electronics, such as signal integrity, implementing FPGAs on boards, ADCs/DACs, and telemetry subsystems. \nExperience owning the design phase of complex board-level electronics, including trade studies, key part selection, and detailed design. \nExperience delivering hardware designs through production and deployment. \nExpertise in PCB layout, including high-density interconnect (HDI) stackup design and high-speed routing. \nExperience running board-level signal integrity and/or power integrity simulation tools such as Ansys SIwave, ADS SIPro, or Mentor Hyperlynx. \nProven success in debugging, root cause analysis, and design reviews. \nDepth in point-of-load power converter design for digital boards. \nStrong working knowledge of adjacent fields, such as software and mechanical, that guides hardware design and system design. \nExtensive lab experience for bring-up and verification of new hardware. \nFamiliarity with EMI/EMC concepts and design to mitigate these effects. \nUnderstanding of military and/or DO standards. \nExperience with design qualification and production lifecycle. \nHas led small teams of hardware engineers to develop multi-module assemblies, including hardware architecture, requirements, make/buy decisions, and interconnects. \nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nExperience with RF design and test equipment.\nCrafting proposals for new business
