This role shapes the technical direction of multiple products and programs while driving the development of next-generation embedded software technologies.\nWorking cross-functionally with software, electrical, systems, hardware, quality, and test engineering teams, this role advises leadership, customers, and engineering organizations while advancing technical excellence and organizational capability.\nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nDesign and implement software for embedded devices and systems, from requirements to production and commercial deployment.\nDesign, develop, code, test, debug and document system software.\nReview code and system designs.\nAnalyze code for efficiency, stability and scalability.\nIntegrate and validate new product designs.\nSupport software quality assurance and optimize I/O performance.\nProvide post-production/in-orbit customer support.\nInterface with hardware design and development engineers.\nAssess third party and open source software.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.\nMinimum of 8 years of industry experience in software development.\nExperience in hands-on development and troubleshooting of embedded hardware.
