Areas of focus will include either board-level RF electronics design (e.g. front-ends with amplifiers, switches, filters, etc.) system design, or antenna design. Assignments will be determined by a mix of project availability and the interests of the successful candidates.\nCesiumAstro interns regularly present their work to peers, mentors, and CesiumAstro executive leadership throughout the course of the summer. As such, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.\nTo apply, please include a cover letter describing your interest in RF hardware or antennas and either space systems or communication systems.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nCurrent enrollment in a Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Physics from an accredited university.\nGPA of 3.5 or higher.\nAdvanced coursework in RF & microwave engineering.\nUpper-level undergraduate coursework in electromagnetics.\nPractical experience designing and building electronics hardware for a research project, competition team, extracurricular activity, or advanced engineering course.\nHands-on experience with lab instruments such as network analyzers, power sensors, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nPREFERRED EXPERIENCE\nFamiliarity with electronics schematic and layout tools such as Altium.\nAdvanced coursework in antennas.\nAdvanced coursework in communication systems.\nAdvanced coursework in electromagnetics.\nFamiliarity with circuit and physics simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS and ADS.\nFamiliarity with programming languages such as Python.\nAerospace or automotive electronics design and
