With onshore teams across Australia, we’ve partnered with more than 200 organisations across start-ups, commercial, enterprise and government.\nSenior AI Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer\nCevo is looking for an AI Engineer/ Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who sits at the intersection of consulting, cloud architecture, software engineering and AI delivery. This is not a traditional project role. You will embed directly with enterprise clients across financial services, energy and government to understand their business outcomes, build production-grade AI solutions and iterate rapidly until real value is delivered.\nWhat You'll Do\nEmbed with enterprise clients to define business outcomes, success metrics and deliver rapid prototypes, compressing discovery-to-build cycles into weeks\nDesign and build agentic AI systems using Anthropic and AWS: RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, LLM-powered assistants, prompt frameworks and evaluation pipelines for hallucination and reasoning quality\nWork hands-on with Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker for model development, fine-tuning, vector retrieval and lifecycle management\nDeploy production AI solutions end-to-end, integrating into enterprise platforms (CRMs, ERPs, data lakes) without handing off to another team\nBuild responsible AI by design: explainability, bias testing, human-in-the-loop controls and compliance with APRA, ASIC and CPS 230/234\nRequired Experience\n5-8+ years in software engineering, data science and ML \n2+ years hands-on GenAI development: LLMs, RAG, agents, evaluation\nDemonstrated ability to deliver production-grade AI systems, end to end\nStrong Python and SQL\nStrong experience with Amazon Bedrock and Bedrock Agents\nExperience deploying ML models into production\nUnderstanding of APIs and AI services across the AWS ecosystem\nStrong communication and client-facing skills \nHighly Desirable\nExperience in a Forward Deployed, embedded consulting or solutions engineering capacity\nSageMaker Pipelines\nVector databases and Graph RAG\nAgent orchestration frameworks\nRegulated industry experience (financial services, energy, government)\nModel risk management experience\nExperience building AI platforms, assistants or internal tooling\nLife at Cevo\nOur people are at the heart of Cevo.
