You’ll combine strong technical accounting knowledge with a practical, hands-on approach, working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business.\nAbout the role\nYou’ll take ownership of key areas of the Group’s external reporting cycle. You’ll prepare and review financial information, support the production of statutory accounts and work closely with external auditors to deliver a smooth and well-controlled year-end process.\n\nYou’ll be responsible for:\nSupporting the preparation of Group and entity-level statutory financial statements\nProducing accurate reporting and supporting schedules in line with agreed deadlines\nCoordinating information and responding to queries from external auditors\nEnsuring reporting is compliant with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements\nPreparing technical accounting papers and contributing to the resolution of complex accounting matters\nMaintaining clear documentation, reconciliations and audit trails\nWorking with Finance teams across the Group to gather, review and challenge reporting information\nIdentifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiency\nSupporting wider Finance projects and reporting requirements as the business continues to evolve\nAbout you\nYou’ll be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting and external reporting experience, ideally gained within insurance, financial services or another complex, regulated environment.\n\nYou’ll have:\nAn ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification\nExperience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements\nStrong knowledge of relevant accounting standards and external reporting requirements\nExperience working closely with external auditors\nExcellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work\nThe ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines\nStrong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across different teams\nA proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge where needed\nAn interest in improving processes and strengthening financial controls\n\nYou’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced, growing business where priorities can evolve quickly, and you’ll be comfortable combining technical expertise with a practical, solutions-focused
