As technology and its risks continue to evolve, you’ll stay close to the market, identify emerging opportunities and help brokers find solutions for their clients\nThe role is remote-based, ideally based in either Leeds or Manchester, with regular regional broker travel and touchpoints at CFC’s London office at 8 Bishopsgate.\nAbout the role\nBuild and manage a strong regional pipeline of profitable new and renewal Technology business.\nDevelop lasting relationships with brokers, becoming a visible and trusted underwriting partner in your region.\nUnderwrite Tech E&O-led risks and create relevant cross-class insurance solutions for UK-domiciled technology businesses.\nRespond to broker enquiries and deliver clear, commercially considered quotations within agreed service levels.\nIdentify new distribution opportunities and work closely with the Team Leader, Development Manager and regional Distribution Manager to grow CFC’s market presence.\nBring CFC’s proposition to life through broker meetings, presentations, training sessions and product launches.\nMonitor emerging technologies, regulation and new exposures, using your insight to help develop appetite and identify future growth opportunities.\nShare your technical knowledge with junior underwriters and contribute to product, system and process improvements across the Technology team.\nAbout you\nYou’ll bring a strong combination of underwriting expertise and business development capability. You’re credible with brokers, commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership of relationships and opportunities across your region.\nAs the first regional underwriter in the Technology team, you’ll need to be proactive and comfortable working independently. At the same time, you’ll be someone who values collaboration, shares ideas and wants to play an active part in the wider team.\nStrong underwriting or broking experience across Technology, Cyber, PI/E&O or related classes, with multi-class exposure.\nA track record of building broker relationships and developing new business in the UK market.\nGood commercial judgement, with strong negotiation and underwriting skills.\nThe confidence to work independently and take ownership of a region, while collaborating closely with the wider team.\nAn engaging communication style and confidence presenting to brokers and other stakeholders.\nCuriosity about technology, emerging risks and how the market is evolving\nFull UK driving license required for regional travel \nCore Values\nLove what you do:\nWe show up each day ready to take on the world.
