{"id":1547406,"url":"https://alion.io/job/cfpnet-accounts-payable-clerk-i-remote","title":"Accounts Payable Clerk I (Remote)","company":{"id":1783325,"name":"Cfpnet","domain":"cfpnet.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/cfpnet-com","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"BambooHR","truth_index":null},"role":"Finance","role_family":"Finance","seniority":"junior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"inferred","locations":[],"countries":[],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":null,"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Excel","optional":false},{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-17T00:00:00Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-17","last_verified_at":"2026-10-23T21:45:16Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":36,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":36},"description":"POSITION SUMMARY\nThe Accounts Payable Clerk will support the day-to-day operations of accounts payable, review purchase orders, statements, verify invoice amounts owed, and respond to vendor inquiries.\nPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nPrepare, process and post invoices timely and accurately.\nAssure that financial accounts are reconciled timely and accurately.\nSupport timely and efficient month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.\nPerform account analysis to identify and explain variances.\nMaintain proper documentation and file supporting documents, including approvals.\nAssist with internal and external audit requests.\nLiaise with the bank and other parties as required.\nPerform backup duties within the department as required.\nSPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nRecord and process daily transactions in accounts payable (i.e. obtain approvals and issue checks).\nAssist with accounts payable email queue and electronic file organization.\nAssist with printing daily premium refund checks and monthly commission checks.\nAssist with vendor maintenance in the general ledger, including set up of payment locations and creation of new vendor request forms and/or change forms.\nAssist with maintaining and keeping current W-9 documents for Accounts Payable vendors.\nRespond to vendor inquiries and assist with research of vendor payment discrepancies.\nAssist with processing employee garnishment, broker garnishment and broker’s backup withholding.\nAssist with monitoring company credit card, ensuring all transactions are approved with proper receipts submitted.\nAssist with uploading disbursements.\nRespond to internal and external broker commission inquiries.\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma required.\n0 to 1 year of relevant work experience (Accounting Clerk I).\nExceptional typing and 10 key by touch skills required.\nExcellent oral and written communication.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy.\nMicrosoft Office suite experience required;
