We specialise in air systems and ventilation engineering, with extensive experience across the mining, power generation, industrial processing, agricultural, marine/fishing, poultry, commercial and HVAC sectors.\nOur projects are typically large-scale and turnkey, taking clients from design and engineering through to manufacture, installation and commissioning.\nWe are looking for an experienced and hands-on HVAC Site Manager - Ventilation & Ducting to take responsibility for one of our two dedicated site installation teams.\nThis is a key role within our growing business and would suit someone who enjoys being on site, solving problems, coordinating people and equipment, and taking ownership of getting projects completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.\nThe Role\nAs Site Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day execution of ventilation and HVAC installation projects. You will work closely with our Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, Production Manager and Draftsmen to ensure projects move efficiently from planning through to successful completion.\nKey responsibilities include:\nManage the day-to-day activities of ventilation, HVAC and ducting installation projects.\nLead, coordinate and motivate a dedicated site installation team.\nPlan and coordinate site activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within requirements.\nConduct pre-installation site visits with Mechanical Engineers and Draftsmen to understand project requirements, site conditions and installation requirements.\nInterpret technical drawings, layouts and engineering plans and ensure installations are completed accordingly.\nCoordinate with Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers regarding technical, logistical and site-related requirements.\nIdentify and implement practical, cost-effective solutions to resolve site challenges and keep projects moving.\nPlan site requirements in advance, including the hiring and coordination of cranes, cherry pickers, scissor lifts, scaffolding and other installation equipment.\nCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers and other external stakeholders as required.\nEnsure the required safety files and site documentation are in place before work commences.\nMonitor and enforce compliance with health and safety requirements and client-specific site rules.\nMonitor project progress and provide regular updates to management and relevant stakeholders.\nIdentify potential delays, risks and issues and take proactive action to resolve them.\nMaintain high standards of workmanship, quality and housekeeping on site.\nEnsure effective communication between the site team, engineering, production and project management.\nAssist with the successful handover and commissioning of completed installations.\nMinimum Requirements\nMatric / Grade 12.\nProven experience managing mechanical, HVAC, ventilation or ducting installation projects.\nStrong ducting installation experience is essential.\nExperience managing and coordinating site installation teams.\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.\nPractical understanding of mechanical/HVAC installations and site execution.\nExperience coordinating subcontractors, equipment and site resources.\nValid driver's licence.\nWillingness to travel and work at project sites as required.\nA technical or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Construction Management or a related field will be advantageous.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nWe are looking for someone who is more than just a site administrator.
