You'll guide products through their lifecycle, from discovery and development to delivery and continuous improvement, ensuring decisions are informed by user needs, evidence and organisational priorities. Working alongside designers, researchers, engineers and delivery managers, you'll translate complex requirements into clear product priorities and measurable outcomes.\n\nYou'll build trusted relationships with healthcare stakeholders, encourage innovation and champion accessible, inclusive digital services. You'll have the freedom to explore new approaches, influence product direction and contribute to meaningful improvements, supported by experienced colleagues and a collaborative team committed to delivering positive outcomes for public services.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n• Lead & Deliver: Manage digital products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring solutions deliver measurable value for NHS Scotland and its service users.\n\n• Shape & Prioritise: Develop and maintain product roadmaps, balancing healthcare priorities, user needs, technical feasibility and delivery objectives.\n\n• Champion User Needs: Collaborate with researchers and designers to understand the needs of healthcare professionals, patients and other service users.\n\n• Measure & Improve: Establish product KPIs, analyse performance data and identify opportunities to improve service quality, accessibility and efficiency.\n\n• Engage & Influence: Build effective relationships with client stakeholders, communicating product priorities, progress and decisions clearly.\n\n• Collaborate & Innovate: Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, user-centred solutions to complex healthcare challenges.\n\n• Manage Risk & Change: Identify delivery risks, manage competing priorities and adapt product plans in response to evolving requirements.\n\n• Support & Develop: Share knowledge, contribute to product management best practices and promote continuous improvement across delivery teams.\n\nRequired qualifications to be successful in this role\n\nTo succeed in this role, you'll bring experience in digital product delivery or a related discipline, with an understanding of agile ways of working, user-centred design and evidence-based decision-making. You'll be comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, engaging stakeholders and translating complex requirements into practical solutions.
