The successful candidate will define automation strategy, architect scalable automation frameworks, establish engineering standards, mentor automation teams, and drive AI-powered quality engineering practices across multiple Agile teams. This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, stakeholder management, and experience delivering automation solutions for large-scale enterprise applications.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Define and implement enterprise automation strategy using Playwright.\n\n- Architect scalable, reusable automation frameworks and engineering standards.\n\n- Lead automation delivery across multiple Agile teams and business applications.\n\n- Drive adoption of Cursor AI for automation development, code generation, debugging, and productivity improvements.\n\n- Establish automation best practices, coding standards, and governance.\n\n- Lead framework reviews, code reviews, and technical design discussions.\n\n- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.\n\n- Monitor automation metrics, coverage, execution stability, and quality KPIs.\n\n- Mentor and coach automation engineers and technical leads.\n\n- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering Managers, and Business Stakeholders.\n\n- Drive continuous improvement and innovation using AI-assisted engineering practices.\n\n- Support release planning, production readiness, and quality governance.\n\nMandatory Skills : \n\n- 8 - 12 years of experience in Software Testing and Automation.\n\n- Minimum 5 years of experience in automation framework design and technical leadership.\n\n- Expert-level experience with Playwright and TypeScript/JavaScript.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Cursor AI or similar AI-assisted engineering tools.\n\n- Strong experience designing scalable automation frameworks.\n\n- Experience with API automation and microservices testing.\n\n- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.\n\n- Experience leading distributed automation teams.\n\n- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.\n\n- Experience working in Agile, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery environments.\n\nPreferred Experience : \n\n- Experience supporting : Large Digital Transformation Programs, Retail & Commerce Platforms, Enterprise SaaS Applications, Cloud-native Applications, API & Integration Testing, Cross-browser and Cross-platform Testing.\n\n- Exposure to : Azure Cloud, Docker & Kubernetes, Performance Engineering, Accessibility Testing, Test Data Management, AI-assisted Software Engineering.\n\nKey Competencies : \n\n- Strong technical leadership and solution architecture skills.\n\n- Expertise in enterprise automation framework design.\n\n- Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performing automation teams.\n\n- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.\n\n- Strategic thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.\n\n- Excellent planning, estimation, and delivery management capabilities.\n\n- Ability to drive AI adoption and automation innovation across teams.\n\n- High ownership, accountability, and customer focus.\n\nCompany Policy : CGI is an equal opportunity employer.
