You’ll work closely with clients, technical teams and key stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technology capabilities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, security standards and organisational policies.\n\n- Lead/support technical elaboration/design of cloud and on premises solutions\n\n- Arbitrate on key architectural decisions and technical direction\n\n- Identify, prioritise and manage technical debt, FinOps optimisation opportunities and SecOps improvements\n\n- Establish and maintain technical governance throughout the product lifecycle\n\n- Engage with Information Assurance, Policy, Information Management and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements\n\n- Shape and deliver capabilities aligned with the technical strategy and roadmap\n\n- Coordinate and lead technical incident response activities, ensuring effective resolution and continuous improvement\n\n- Contribute to and support wider client initiatives as required\n\n- Support requirements gathering and shaping of new/existing capabilities.\n\nRequired qualifications to be successful in this role\n\n- Architecture Experience: Proven experience in software or solution architecture at SFIA Level 4 or 5, with the ability to lead or support complex technical design activities.\n\n- Cloud & On-Premises Technologies: Strong understanding of cloud and traditional infrastructure architectures, including integration, security and scalability considerations.\n\n- Technical Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence architectural decisions, provide technical guidance and resolve complex design challenges.\n\n- Security & Compliance: Understanding of secure solution design, technical governance, information assurance and regulatory compliance.\n\n- Continuous Improvement: Experience identifying technical debt and opportunities to improve system performance, security, efficiency and cost effectiveness.\n\n- Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\n- Incident Management: Experience supporting technical incident resolution, root-cause analysis and service improvement.\n\n- Security Clearance: Current UK Security Check (SC) clearance or eligibility to obtain it, with Developed Vetting (DV) clearance desirable.\n\n- Location: Based in Gloucestershire or within a commutable
