In this role, you’ll apply your technical expertise to overhead transmission projects, contribute to thoughtful engineering solutions, and provide guidance to junior team members while helping deliver the infrastructure communities rely on every day.\nThis position offers fully remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities may be required if you are located near a CHA office.\nWhat You'll Do:\nProvide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for electric overhead transmission projects, including rebuilding existing overhead transmission lines, designing new green field transmission lines, and supporting utility project scoping\nPlan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff\nMonitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues across critical electric transmission initiatives\nComplete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable, cost-effective, and future-ready grid solutions\nProvide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff working on electric overhead transmission and power delivery projects\nWhat You Bring:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required\nMinimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required; previous transmission engineer experience required\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required\nAdvanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office required\nStrong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws\nProven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment as well as independently \nExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with clients on a regular basis\nParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred\nWhy You'll Love It Here:\nMake a meaningful impact on overhead transmission projects that strengthen critical power infrastructure while continuing to grow your technical capabilities\nTackle complex engineering challenges that put your technical experience and problem-solving skills to work\nCollaborate with a knowledgeable team while sharing your expertise with developing engineers\nCurious about the impactful work our Electric Transmission team is doing?
