We partner directly with product and platform engineering on threat modeling, design reviews, penetration testing, and remediation of findings across our AWS and Kubernetes estate.\nAs a Senior Security Engineer, Infrastructure, you’ll help secure and operate the cloud and Kubernetes environments that support Chainalysis products and our Hosted AI Platform (HAIP). You’ll combine production operations with practical security engineering: responding to platform alerts, troubleshooting infrastructure, and shipping guardrails and improvements through Terraform and Kubernetes. You’ll work closely with Infrastructure Security, Platform Engineering, AI Core, and other engineering partners to address risks at their source and make secure, reliable infrastructure easier to operate.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role for someone who is comfortable in a terminal, has supported production systems, and can take an infrastructure issue from investigation through resolution.\nIn this role, you’ll:\nTroubleshoot Kubernetes workloads and cloud services, investigating pod health, logs, errors, latency, and upstream provider issues to find root causes.\n\nShip reviewed Terraform and Kubernetes changes that strengthen HAIP and broader cloud infrastructure security and reliability.\n\nImprove AWS and edge/network controls-including IAM, networking, secrets, encryption, logging, and Cloudflare-and reduce recurring misconfigurations through reusable patterns and runbooks.\n\nUse Python or similar scripting, monitoring improvements, and cross-team partnership to automate operational work and drive fixes through to completion.\n\nParticipate in the AI Product on-call rotation, triage production alerts, communicate clearly, and escalate when needed.\n\nWe’re looking for candidates who have:\nProduction cloud infrastructure experience, preferably in AWS, plus working knowledge of security controls such as IAM, networking, secrets, encryption, or logging.\n\nHands-on production Kubernetes experience: inspect workloads, read logs, and troubleshoot failures using command-line tools.\n\nExperience authoring Terraform changes that have been reviewed and deployed to production; comfort shipping changes through Git and pull requests.\n\nProduction on-call or incident-response experience, including alert investigation, clear communication, and sound escalation judgment.\n\nPython or similar scripting ability, familiarity with monitoring/logging tools\n\nExperience working with stakeholders across the R&D organization to collaborate and resolve security issues with urgency and a team-first approach.\n\nNice to have:\nExperience operating AI/ML infrastructure, LLM platforms, or services integrating with model providers; familiarity with AI gateway concepts such as model routing or quotas.\n\nExperience with Cloudflare or other edge/network security controls.\n\nExposure to cloud security posture management tools such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or Orca.\n\nExperience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.\n\nFamiliarity with blockchain, crypto, fintech, or regtech infrastructure.\n\nTechnologies we use:\nCloud and containers: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)\n\nInfrastructure-as-Code: Terraform\n\nSecurity tooling: Wiz, SonarCloud, Burp, Cloudflare\n\nCI/CD and source control: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory and related build/deploy tooling\n\nLanguages and scripting: Java, JavaScript, Python, Go\n\nAI Coding Agents, Tooling, Systems\n\nAI at Chainalysis\nAI is not a feature at Chainalysis - it is a new way of working.
