Chalhoub Group is proud to be a member of the United Nations Global Compact, a signatory of the Women’s Empowerment Principles, and to have pledged to reach Net Zero by 2040.\nWhat you'll be doing \n Lead the Data Engineering capability across data platform engineering, data pipelines and processing, data operations, BI and reporting, and data quality engineering, delivering reliable cloud data infrastructure and trustworthy analytics for the business.\nLead the Data Engineering capability, owning data platform engineering across the cloud data platform (Google BigQuery), storage, compute, and data access layers on GCP.\nOwn data pipelines and processing, engineering robust ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines (Python, Apache Airflow, dbt, Airbyte) and batch and streaming processing from source systems into the data warehouse.\nOwn data operations, including pipeline monitoring, job orchestration and scheduling, incident resolution, and the reliability and uptime of data ingestion (DataOps).\nOwn BI and reporting, developing semantic layers (Looker, LookML), reporting models, and dashboards (Power BI, SQL) to deliver actionable business intelligence.\nOwn data quality engineering, implementing automated data testing, data validation, anomaly detection, and cleansing logic to ensure accuracy and data integrity.\nOwn engineering leadership, capability and team development, engineering practices, and continuous improvement across the data engineering team.\nRemain hands-on: plan, design, execute, and document data validation and automated data testing across integrated data systems for assigned scope.\nUse Claude Code for AI-assisted development to accelerate pipeline and query development while maintaining quality.\nWhat you’ll need to succeed \n10 years of data engineering experience, including experience leading or mentoring engineers.\nStrong expertise in Google BigQuery, cloud data warehousing, data access control, and GCP.\nHands-on experience with ETL/ELT (Python, Apache Airflow, dbt, Airbyte), batch and streaming processing, and DataOps (pipeline monitoring, job orchestration, incident resolution).\nProficiency in BI and reporting (Looker, LookML, Power BI, SQL, dashboard design) and data quality engineering (data validation, automated data testing, anomaly detection).\nFamiliarity with Claude Code for AI-assisted development.\nWhat we can offer you \nWith us, you will turn your aspirations into reality.
