To accomplish this the incumbent will work with other developers in addition to interfacing with other parts of the business such as Engineering, Product Ownership, Marketing, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Customer Service in order to understand and translate product requirements into technical requirements, verify development matches product owner expectations, as well as maintain a high-quality code base.\nJob Responsibilities\nServe as primary point person across multiple scrum teams for interactions with product owner, front end, middleware, DevOps, and firmware functional teams to implement mobile app new features\nParticipate in technical assessment, scoping and management of changes to the code-based on new business requirements, product enhancements and other change requests across multiple scrum teams\nAnalyze requirements, collaborate with architects and senior engineers to produce thoughtful software designs of large scope and high complexity\nDevelop software using Agile methodologies, such as Scrum\nLead and contribute to technical discussions in community of practice, design review, pull request, or other technical meeting forums\nInterface with marketing and product owners to deploy production releases\nStay current on modern technologies and innovations which can further enhance and improve the commercial success of the MyQ connectivity solution\nMaintain platform specific software knowledge of key software application features, frameworks, and components\nProvide mentoring and coaching to junior and senior engineers to increase software capability of the development team\nCollaborate with other Chamberlain domain experts, such as Infrastructure, Database, and Middleware, as the team develops features and platform enhancements • Lead offshore teams to design and develop features\nEnforce process standards for internal development processes to provide consistent development practices among developers\nResponsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library\nComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.\nProtect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential.\nMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.\nContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.\nJob Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nAn advanced degree in directly applicable area of study may substitute for up to two (2) years of experience.\niOS engineer must have native experience in Swift (7+ years)\nAndroid engineers must have native experience with Kotlin (7+ years)\nExperience writing unit tests\nExperience working in larger team environment\nExperience working with Git for source control\nExperience leading architectural and process changes\nExperience in creating technical documentation\nDeep understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum\nExperience performing technical interviews\nExpertise of UI patterns such as model-view-controller (MVC) and model-view-view model (MVVM) is required\nExpertise in RESTful services and the JSON file format.\nAbility to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.\nAbility to work independently as well as part of a team.\nAbility to lead junior and senior engineers on projects of high complexity.\nAbility to recognize issues in existing software and put together improvement plans.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work cross functionally with back end and quality engineers.\nStrong ability to interface with Product Owners and Scrum Masters for ticket/issue management.\nStrong ability to estimate work, support project plan creation, and report out progress to functional management at a platform level.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous delivery) tools, frameworks and deployment processes.\nExperience defining process improvements and implementing change\nPreferred Job Requirements:\nMobile development bootcamp, organized training, or certifications.\nAbility to lead changes on a mobile platform that is not their expertise (e.g. experience is iOS, but could help lead Android devs).\n\nThe pay range for this position is $126,198.00 - $215,291.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
