A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Build relationships with business leaders and truly understand their strategy, key initiatives, and KPIs for success such that you have shared ownership for reaching their goals., and (ii) Lead, manage, and coach highly technical data scientists, including identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new talent. Requires 8+ years of relevant work experience; 2+ years directly managing data scientists and a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or other quantitative field of study.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nBuild relationships with business leaders and truly understand their strategy, key initiatives, and KPIs for success such that you have shared ownership for reaching their goals.\nLead, manage, and coach highly technical data scientists, including identifying, recruiting, and onboarding new talent.\nDrive development and execution of the data science methodology and practices strategy.\nLead technical engagements with business unit and function stakeholders, as well as senior leaders.\nBe a catalyst for advanced analytics and data science across Chamberlain Group.\nEducate business users on advanced analytical concepts.\nWork with various teams to drive the adoption of insights, models, and other output and the realization of incremental impact.\nIdentify and apply innovative analytical techniques to achieve business objectives.\nLead and directly engage in the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics models and solutions, including predictive and prescriptive outputs, to enable business partners to make better data-driven decisions.\nIdentify and manage the relationship with outside data science resources and vendors.\nComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; 2+ years directly managing data scientists\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nExpert knowledge of statistics and advanced analytical and machine learning techniques, including forecasting, predictive modeling, network and cluster analysis\nDemonstrated aptitude distilling complex business problems into clear data science and advanced analytics models and solutions that can and will be adopted and implemented\nAbility to drive teams to success; ability to drive change and influence peers, leaders, collaborators, and individual contributors\nExpertise directing, developing, and applying machine learning algorithms\nExceptional problem solving / analytical thinking skills\nOutstanding communication skills, teamwork and collaboration, and attention to detail\nAdvanced expertise in Python, R, SQL\nExperience working with data science tools (e.g., Databricks); distributed compute; manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale data; and scaling analytics in the cloud (e.g., Azure)\nPreferred Qualifications\nEducation/Certifications:\nMaster's or Doctorate degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, econometrics, engineering, or other quantitative field of study\nExperience:\nExperience leading end-to-end data science project implementations working with Agile methodologies\nExperience in analytical consulting roles\n\nThe pay range for this position is $129,700.00 - $226,900.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
