Join us as we scale our impact globally.\nAbout the Role:\nWe are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to take ownership of the core infrastructure and intelligent services powering our platform. In this role, you will architect resilient, high-throughput distributed systems, operationalize LLM workflows, and build the connective tissue between complex business logic and enterprise integrations.\nAs a Senior engineer, you won’t just write code, you will drive architectural decisions, raise the engineering bar, and ship mission-critical AI features directly to production.\nWhat You'll Do:\nArchitect & Scale Core Systems: Design, build, and maintain robust, high-performance APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI, Pydantic, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).\n\nProductionize AI: Bridge the gap between cutting-edge LLMs and reliable production software, building data pipelines and workflows that power intelligent legal automation.\n\nEnd-to-End Technical Ownership: Lead features from initial system design and data modeling through to CI/CD deployment, observability, and scaling.\n\nIntegrate at Enterprise Scale: Build seamless, bi-directional integrations with enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and process high volumes of complex data securely.\n\nDrive Technical Excellence: Champion best practices, lead code and design reviews, and mentor team members as our engineering organization expands.\n\nIterate with High Velocity: Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and ML counterparts to ship fast, validate against user needs, and iterate continuously.\n\nWhat We're Looking For:\n5+ years of experience building, maintaining, and scaling production backend systems in Python.\n\nDeep Architectural Foundations: Strong expertise in distributed systems, asynchronous programming, database optimization (relational & NoSQL), and clean API design.\n\nAI-First Mindset: You actively use modern AI dev tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) to accelerate your workflow, and you possess a strong curiosity about generative AI architectures.\n\nAutonomy & Bias for Action: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, break down complex business problems into modular services, and deliver independently.\n\nProduct-Minded Engineering: You care deeply about user impact and business outcomes, not just writing code for the sake of code.\n\nStrong Communication Skills: Fluent English proficiency with the ability to articulate technical tradeoffs clearly across cross-functional teams.\n\nBonus Points:\nPrior experience as an early-stage startup engineer or founder.\n\nHands-on experience building LLM-powered applications (RAG architectures, vector databases, prompt orchestration).\n\nStrong background with AWS
