The Engineer will oversee and support the design and manufacturing of the Plunger Lift product line at our Crowley manufacturing facility, and is responsible for designing, developing and testing mechanical systems and products. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.\nWhat You Will Do:\nOversee and support the design and manufacturing of the Plunger Lift product line.\nApply advanced knowledge of technical engineering principles and practices in the identification and understanding of client requirements to manage the development of technical specifications and implement designs.\nManage project controls and risk, ensuring projects are executed within established budget.\nIdentify issues, problems, and opportunities to support continuous improvement initiatives.\nAdvise leaders regarding the identification and resolution of complex problems.\nOversee the review and validation of product requirements to determine feasibility of design constraints.\nOversee the identification, evaluation, and development of engineering tools and processes necessary to meet a project’s engineering and business goals.\nProvide timely communications on significant issues or developments, maintaining a focus on safety, quality and reliability\nOversee the creation and maintenance of accurate ERP master data, Items, Bill of material (BOM) and routings.\nOversee tolerance analysis on complex assemblies.\nHave hands-on involvement with product development and manufacturing of plunger lift & gas lift artificial lift systems.\nHave a high degree of involvement with other engineers, as well as field and manufacturing personnel.\nConduct failure analysis of products\nIdentify current workforce strengths and gaps and communicate this information to the director of operations and HR; suggest ways to address training and hiring needs.\nKnow and enforce compliance with all safety policies and procedures.\nCoach and mentor one or two levels of direct reports; assign work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assess performance and provide feedback to direct reports.\nOther duties as required.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nCollege, university, or equivalent degree from an accredited program in Mechanical Engineering, or related field or equivalent education and/or experience.\n4 years of experience as a mechanical or manufacturing engineer.\nExperience with the designing of products for manufacturing machining and assembly.\nProficient with and oversight of creating and maintaining ERP master data\nProficient with and oversight of drafting procedures, GD&T, parametric 3D modeling, 2D drafting\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point\nProficient with a parametric 3D modeling software (Solid Works, Ineventor, Creo)\nProficient with an engineering data management software.\nAbility to properly plan for the long-term development of products\nAbility to listen to input and accept or reject ideas diplomatically will be a daily occurrence\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nExcellent analytical and critical thinking skills\nExcellent math skills\nStrong organizational and time management skills,\nExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience within oil & gas Industry\nOracle ERP system experience\nAutodesk Inventor & Vault experience\nAbout Us:\nChampionX is now part of SLB, a global technology company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.
