This role ensures products meet company quality standards by creating inspection and testing protocols, reviewing inspection results, coordinating corrective actions, and serving as the primary quality liaison with manufacturing partners. The Quality Control Specialist works closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Production, and factory partners to proactively identify quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure consistent product quality.\nYour Role:\nQuality Control Planning\nOwn and manage the quality control (QC) plan for accessory products from development through final shipment.\n\nDevelop, document, and maintain detailed inspection procedures and testing plans for each product.\n\nCreate and document product-specific sampling plans based on quality requirements, production volume, and risk assessment.\n\nEnsure QC standards, inspection criteria, and testing requirements are communicated clearly to internal teams and factory partners.\n\nInspection Management\nEnter QC sampling plan in the SPA system for each shipment.\n\nReview internal inspection reports submitted by quality inspectors to verify compliance with established quality standards.\n\nEnsure inspection documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained according to company standards.\n\nFactory Communication & Quality Reporting\nPrepare and distribute quality inspection reports to factory partners.\n\nCommunicate inspection findings, non-conformances, and corrective action requirements in a timely manner.\n\nPartner with factories to resolve quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.\n\nCorrective Actions & Continuous Improvement\nCoordinate investigations into product quality issues and determine root causes.\n\nManage follow-up activities including inventory disposition, quarantine actions, rework decisions, and corrective action implementation.\n\nMonitor corrective action effectiveness and ensure issues are resolved prior to shipment.\n\nRecommend process improvements that enhance product quality and reduce recurring defects.\n\nWork Experience:\n1-3 years of quality control or quality assurance experience, preferably within accessories, consumer products, sporting goods, apparel accessories, or similar manufacturing environments.\n\nExperience working directly with overseas factories and third-party inspection agencies.\n\nStrong understanding of quality control methodologies, inspection procedures, and sampling techniques.\n\nExperience creating inspection plans, testing protocols, and quality documentation.\n\nAbility to interpret inspection reports and identify root causes of quality issues.\n\nExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple cultures and manufacturing partners.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and quality management systems; experience with SPA or similar product management systems is preferred.\n\nAbility to manage multiple products, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\n\nCompany Culture:\nWe are proud to offer eligible associates a full-range of benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, as well as short-term and long-term disability, 401K, Profit Sharing, paid time off, holidays, and reimbursement toward gym membership fees.
