It is a market-building and transformation leadership mandate, accountable for establishing procurement as a structured, risk-controlled, digitally enabled and value-creating function that actively supports the company’s growth ambitions. The role reports to local CFO and the Regional Head of Indirect Procurement Swiss Market Region who leads the Regional Procurement Strategy across all categories, ensures alignment with global objectives, and orchestrates the regional and local IP community. Within this framework, the IP Manager for Mexico acts as the market owner, with full accountability for structuring, governing and elevating the procurement capability across the country.\nKey Responsibilities\nActivities\nGovernance and Function Development\nDesign, implement and ensure compliance with Indirect Procurement policies, processes and approval frameworks.\nContribute to the deployment and continuous improvement of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) model in collaboration with Finance and IT.\nDefine and execute the Indirect Procurement roadmap for the Mexican market, aligned with business priorities and global guidelines.\nMonitor performance through KPIs, savings tracking and executive-level reporting.\nEnsure full adoption and effective use of the COUPA procurement platform.\nMarket Intelligence, Strategic Sourcing & Business Partnership\nMap the supplier ecosystem and identify strategic partners and provide forward-looking market intelligence and risk anticipation.\nSupport business expansion through local sourcing capabilities.\nAct as a trusted procurement partner to business stakeholders, supporting supplier selection through competitive sourcing processes (RFPs, cost analysis, negotiations).\nLead sourcing projects across all Indirect Procurement categories.\nCoordinate closely with Legal (internal and external) on contractual frameworks and negotiations.\nSpending, Value & Project Management\nAnalyze supplier spending using financial and reporting tools.\nEnsure accurate spending categorization and budget discipline.\nIdentify and deliver cost optimization, cost avoidance and value creation initiatives.\nLead procurement-related projects end-to-end, from opportunity identification through implementation and benefits tracking.\nManage multiple projects in parallel, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.\nSupplier Risk & Performance Management\nLead supplier compliance, due diligence and risk assessment processes.\nManage supplier onboarding in collaboration with Finance.\nMonitor supplier performance through structured reviews, KPIs and reporting.\nCoordinate supplier audits and oversee corrective action plans with business stakeholders.\nProcurement Culture, Leadership & Change Management\nRaise standards of discipline and data-driven decision-making.\nAct as the local ambassador of the global procurement vision.\nCoach stakeholders on procurement best practices.\nEmbed a strong procurement mindset within the market.\nFoster a culture of collaboration, carbon footprint and sustainability reporting.\nEnsure suppliers have the capability to provide required ESG information or identify appropriate alternatives.\nWhat are we looking for?\nCandidate Profile\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Engineering or a related field.\nExperience\n6 to 8 years of previous experience in Indirect Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Procurement Consulting.\nPrior exposure to people management, team coordination or project leadership preferred.\nExperience within Retail, Luxury, FMCG or customer-centric environments is an advantage.\nDemonstrated experience in procurement transformation and cost optimization initiatives.\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong analytical and financial acumen.\nAdvanced negotiation and
