The Social Media Planner develops content and channel strategies, coordinates campaign execution, and continuously improves performance in collaboration with key stakeholders.\nThe role also analyzes social conversations, consumer trends, and Share of Voice, translating insights into actionable recommendations that strengthen brand visibility, desirability, engagement, and communication effectiveness.\nThe role requires both operational excellence and strategic thinking, with the ability to influence communication strategy, content development, and channel evolution through insight-driven recommendations and collaboration with local and global stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nSocial Media Operations\nManage platform content calendar, publishing operations, and campaign execution in collaboration with internal and external partners.\nMonitor performance, identify key learnings, and provide stakeholders with clear recommendations on improvements, optimization opportunities, and successful initiatives to scale.\nStakeholder Management\nPartner with Marketing, CRM, PR, Paid Media, Global teams, and agencies to deliver integrated social media initiatives.\nBuild alignment across stakeholders to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement.\nContent Strategy & Editorial Development\nDevelop and evolve content pillars for CHANEL's accounts to strengthen brand storytelling, increase engagement, and generate brand-related conversations.\nIdentify opportunities to expand the role and impact of X and LINE within CHANEL's communication ecosystem and translate social and consumer insights into actionable recommendations.\nX Growth & Paid Amplification\nLead organic and paid amplification initiatives to strengthen account health, increase brand-related conversations, and expand CHANEL's Share of Voice on X.\nIdentify and recommend activation opportunities that enhance the visibility, engagement, and overall impact of CHANEL's presence on the platform.\nSocial Listening & Share of Voice Analysis\nMonitor consumer conversations, social trends, sentiment, and CHANEL's Share of Voice across Digital & Social Media.\nDeliver insight-driven reporting and strategic recommendations to identify opportunities for brand equity growth, communication optimization, and increased Share of Voice.\nQualifications\nRequired\n3+ years of experience in Social Media, Digital Marketing, Communications, PR, or related fields.\nStrong understanding of X, LINE, and broader social media ecosystems.\nExperience with social listening and social analytics platforms.\nExperience managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nNative-level Japanese communication skills and business-level English proficiency.\nPreferred\nExperience in luxury, beauty, fashion, or premium consumer brands.\nExperience managing paid social campaigns and content amplification.\nExperience with CRM-related communications or owned-channel management.\nInterest in AI, emerging technologies, and evolving digital communication
