This role is an important partner in supporting accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across the organization. The Payroll Specialist will help ensure employee and payroll data is processed with precision, inquiries are addressed with care and responsiveness, and key payroll activities are completed in alignment with internal controls, established timelines, and CHANEL’s commitment to operational excellence.\nWhat impact you can make at CHANEL:\nDaily review of incoming Workday integration data - Researching and applying corrective action as needed\nProviding excellent employee service - supporting/resolving all payroll related inquiries promptly\nGathering incoming data for payroll preparation via US Payroll email inbox or Teams group channels\nRunning integrations between timekeeping system and payroll processing system to transfer hours\nReviewing Job, compensation and employee address changes for accuracy - working with HR partners for data validation\nReviewing payroll pre-check report information for discrepancies - researching and providing resolution as needed\nEngaging between HRIS and payroll systems to maintain data integrity\nPreparation of SOPs related to daily, weekly or monthly tasks\nGarnishment set up\nPost payroll tasks including deferred comp funding, post close report validation etc.\nSupport ad-hoc projects as requested\nYou are energized by:\nDelivering accurate and timely payrolls\nEngaging and supporting employees’ inquiries\nMeeting tight deadlines\nProviding accurate payroll prep data, showcasing excellent attention to details\nDemonstrating organizational skills\nMaintaining confidentiality\nSupporting ad-hoc projects as needed\nWhat you will bring to the team:\nExperience in Ulti-Pro, Kronos and Workday\nBasic understanding of Payroll processing\nKnowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations\nMicrosoft Excel and Microsoft Office expertise.\nA technical mind: strong understanding of \"input/output\"\nComfort with analyzing data\nAS/AA in Accounting or Related Finance field\nPosition Logistics:\nPartially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three days in-person office presence at our Piscataway, NJ office.\nCompensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,600 through $102,100. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position.
