For more information, please visit www.chaosinc.com.\nRole Overview:\nOwn the material function for advanced product-development programs, from early development through delivery.\nServe as the primary point of contact for program and technical leadership on all supply-chain matters.\nTranslate program schedules into concrete sourcing and procurement plans that keep material moving on time.\nIdentify and resolve material issues before they affect program cost, schedule, or quality.\nOperate effectively in a matrixed environment where priorities shift and requirements evolve.\nResponsibilities:\nPlanning & Strategy\nDevelop material program plans and supplier management plans for assigned programs.\nTranslate engineering and program requirements into an actionable sourcing plan.\nKeep leadership informed on material risk, priority decisions, and recovery plans as issues arise.\nMaintain working knowledge of the policies and procedures governing material sourcing and movement.\nSourcing & Order Execution\nDevelop RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, and evaluate supplier responses on pricing, lead time, and terms.\nConvert approved material needs into purchase requisitions and manage them through to a placed purchase order.\nDrive improvements in procurement cycle time by identifying and removing barriers to material availability.\nSupport new-supplier onboarding, including confidentiality agreements and other required documentation.\nCross-Functional Execution\nCoordinate across procurement, planning, and production control to ensure clean handoffs and task ownership.\nPartner directly with engineering to define supply-chain requirements and delivery timing.\nIdentify and escalate anything that puts program material at risk on cost, schedule, quality, or performance.\nMinimum Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience (equivalent combinations of education and experience considered).\nBackground in supply chain, production control, material planning, procurement, or a closely related discipline.\nWorking proficiency with an ERP or MRP system.\nSolid understanding of how supply-and-demand planning connects to requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier management.\nDemonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-moving product-development environment.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to operate effectively across engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and program teams.\nEligible to obtain and maintain any security clearance required for the position.\nS. citizenship may be required, depending on program or clearance requirements.\nPreferred Requirements:\nMBA or master’s degree in finance, supply chain management, or a related field.\nBackground in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.\nTrack record supporting fast-moving product development or rapid-prototyping efforts.\nHands-on experience developing material program strategy from the ground up.\nFamiliarity with supplier statements of work and associated contract requirements.\nExperience managing supplier selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance evaluation.\nWorking knowledge of material requirements planning and logistics coordination.\nDemonstrated success operating within a matrixed organization.\nStrong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at the executive level.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\n\nWhy CHAOS?\nHealth Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 100% paid for by the company\n Additional benefits: 401k (+ 50% company match up to 6% of pay), FSA, HSA, life insurance, and more\nOur Perks: Free daily lunch while you're working onsite, fully-stocked kitchen, unlimited PTO, casual dress code\n Compensation Components: Competitive base salaries, generous pre-IPO stock option grants, relocation assistance, and (coming soon!) annual bonuses\nTeam Growth: 500+ employees and counting across 5 global offices\n $110,000 - $140,000\nThe stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
