For more information, please visit www.chaosinc.com.\nRole Overview\nDrive quality engineering initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and operational efficiency.\nLead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented and driven to closure.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce manufacturing defects, rework, and Hours Per Unit (HPU).\nDevelop and maintain quality requirements, procedures, and documentation to support consistent manufacturing processes.\nEstablish, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify quality trends and drive continuous improvement.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Test, and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.\nResponsibilities\nContinuous Improvement\nReview travelers, routers, and build records in ERP/MES.\nEnsure traceability, configuration, and documentation are complete and accurate.\nEnforce workmanship standards (IPC, internal specs).\nLead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations through closure.\nDevelop and maintain quality documentation, requirements, and procedures.\nDevelop, maintain, track, and trend key performance indicators (KPIs).\nDrive Hours Per Unit (HPU) and manufacturing defect reduction initiatives.\nNonconformance & Disposition\nIdentify, document, and segregate nonconforming material.\nSupport MRB and disposition activities.\nDrive immediate containment on the floor.\nProduction Support\nAct as first responder to quality issues during builds.\nInterface directly with Manufacturing, Test, and Engineering.\nEnsure no hardware progresses with unresolved quality issues.\nMinimum Requirements\n5+ years of experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or related manufacturing engineering roles.\nExperience identifying, investigating, and resolving hardware manufacturing quality issues.\nDemonstrated experience leading RCCA investigations through closure.\nExperience with HPU and/or manufacturing defect reduction initiatives.\nBachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.\nAbility to read drawings, schematics, and specifications (GD&T preferred).\nExperience with ERP/MES systems for build tracking and sign-off.\nFamiliarity with IPC standards (J-STD-001, IPC-A-610).\nPreferred Requirements\nSix Sigma experience or certification.\nExperience in aerospace/defense or high-reliability hardware.\nExperience in multiple production domains (R&D, T2P, LRIP, FRP).\nAS9100 environment experience, experience performing FAI (AS9102).\nStrong MRB / nonconformance handling experience.\n\nWhy CHAOS?\nHealth Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision benefits 100% paid for by the company\n Additional benefits: 401k (+ 50% company match up to 6% of pay), FSA, HSA, life insurance, and more\nOur Perks: Free daily lunch while you're working onsite, fully-stocked kitchen, unlimited PTO, casual dress code\n Compensation Components: Competitive base salaries, generous pre-IPO stock option grants, relocation assistance, and (coming soon!) annual bonuses\nTeam Growth: 350+ employees and counting across 5 global offices\nSalary Range: $155,000 - $230,000 per year\nThe stated compensation range reflects only the targeted base compensation range and excludes additional earnings such as bonus, equity, and benefits.
