Central to this is the AI Core team: we build and operate a shared enterprise AI Hub used by companies across the group, and drive adoption through a network of AI Champions. Each portfolio company has one designated power user who leads AI enablement locally, runs training, and scales usage within their organisation.\n\nTasks\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will work as a full member of the AI Core team, supporting the infrastructure that powers AI adoption across 55+ portfolio companies. The team's core product is the AI Hub platform (Open WebUI): we keep it running, deploy new instances, build and validate integrations, and ensure every company in the group has a stable, well-configured environment. \n\nWe build the AI Hub as a product and ship it to every company in the portfolio. Each company owns and administers their own Hub (L1 Support). The AI Core team drives the features, changes, and integrations that create value across all hubs and serves as the centre of expertise (L2 Support) when local teams need guidance or hands-on help. \n\nYou will have direct ownership of tasks, contribute your own ideas, and actively shape how the platform evolves. This is not an observation role, you will work on the same codebase and infrastructure as the rest of the team. \n\nWhat You Will Work On\n\nDeploy, configure, and maintain shared AI Hub instances across Azure and AWS \n\nBuild and test platform tools, functions, and custom AI agents based on specifications \n\nMonitor platform health, uptime, logs, and configuration consistency across all deployed AI Hub instances \n\nBuild health-check, alerting, and reporting scripts that track version parity, uptime, cloud usage, and deployment status \n\nSupport containerized application deployment, environment configuration, secrets handling, and rollback processes \n\nImplement and validate integrations with infrastructure and enterprise services such as MCP servers, Git/Bitbucket, Microsoft Graph, and data providers \n\nWrite deployment guides, runbooks, and onboarding documentation for new companies joining the platform \n\nMonitor core platform and dependency releases, then summarize operational impact, upgrade steps, and risks for the group\n\nRequirements\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\nRequired\n\nCurrently enrolled in a Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, Software Engineering, or related field \n\nStrong Python skills, comfortable writing scripts, calling APIs, and building small applications \n\nComfortable with Bash/shell scripting and working in a Linux terminal \n\nBasic familiarity with cloud infrastructure and application deployment on Azure or AWS \n\nPractical experience using LLMs via API (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) \n\nFamiliarity with Docker, REST APIs, Git, and deployment workflows \n\nAbility to read and work from technical documentation independently \n\nStrong written communication in English (fluent) and German (fluent)\n\nBonus\n\nCloud platform certifications in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud are a plus, especially when paired with hands-on deployment or operations experience \n\nExperience with cloud application platforms, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or agentic AI frameworks \n\nInfrastructure as Code awareness (Bicep, Terraform, CloudFormation) \n\nFamiliarity with authentication concepts (OAuth, SSO, JWT) \n\nExperience with monitoring, logging, or cloud operations tools such as Azure Monitor or CloudWatch\n\nBenefits\n\nWhat You'll Get\n\nWork on infrastructure and tooling that directly shapes how 55+ software companies adopt AI, your output has immediate, visible impact across the group \n\nBecome part of CHAPTERS Group, a German serial acquirer with 10x growth in the past five years and high ambitions for what comes next \n\nFull integration into the AI Core team, contributing alongside senior engineers from day one, with a direct line to the CTO office \n\nHands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining enterprise AI infrastructure across Azure and AWS in production \n\nAccess to enterprise AI tooling: Claude Code, Azure OpenAI, and a modern multi-cloud AI platform stack \n\nDirect ownership of tasks with measurable impact, not support work or observation \n\nActive investment in your development: mentorship from the AI Core team, exposure to real architecture decisions, and access to relevant events and conferences\n\nHow to Apply\n\nSend your CV along with a brief note on why this role interests you and what you would bring to the AI Core team.
