In this role, you will leverage your expertise in distributed systems and full-stack development to drive the transition to electric mobility. Your work will directly impact the stability, performance, and scalability of solutions used by thousands of EV drivers globally.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you will join one of our teams to help maintain and enhance our cloud-based software platform for e-mobility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of the platform, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements. Success in this role means balancing technical excellence with pragmatic solutions, writing clean code, and leading technical initiatives across the engineering organization.\nWhat You Will Bring to ChargePoint\nCollaborate with other software developers to align on project goals, architecture, and delivery timelines.\nImplement and maintain scalable software solutions using PHP, balancing technical excellence with pragmatic solutions to deliver business value.\nLeverage GitOps, Kubernetes, and other cloud-native tools to streamline deployment and infrastructure management.\nParticipate in architectural discussions, bringing forward innovative ideas and constructively challenging others’ proposals.\nDesign and develop robust, secure, and highly available APIs for internal and external consumption.\nBuild and maintain responsive, user-friendly frontend components and interfaces using React.\nConduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to engineering best practices.\nMentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.\nTroubleshoot and debug complex issues in production environments, ensuring high availability of our distributed applications.\nOptimize application performance, database queries, and system architecture to support a rapidly growing global user base.\nRequirements\n5+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in PHP (CodeIgniter or Symfony) and React, building scalable and maintainable applications.\nExperience with Python or Node.js is a strong plus.\nStrong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.\nProven expertise in backend development, object-oriented design, and scalable API development.\nHands-on experience building and operating distributed, event-driven systems.\nCommitment to clean code, best practices, and source control using Git.\nStrong collaboration and communication skills, with a growth mindset and openness to feedback.\nExperience leveraging AI-powered development tools is an added advantage\nLocation\nBangalore, Gurgaon, India\nWe are committed to an inclusive and diverse team.
