Europe.\n\nAbout the Team : \n\nYou'll join the Revenue Story Modules team, a cross-functional group of engineers, product managers, and designers based primarily in India and collaborating with global stakeholders.\n\nThe team builds reporting, insights, and revenue intelligence capabilities that help customers understand and operationalize their subscription revenue performance.\n\nWe work closely with Platform, Billing, Support, and GTM teams to deliver scalable solutions with strong correctness guarantees, performance, and reliability.\n\nAbout the role : \n\nAs a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will own and deliver key product capabilities for our Revenue Story Modules.\n\nYou'll work end-to-end - from design to rollout - while partnering closely with Product and Engineering peers to build reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems.\n\nYou will play a key role in improving code quality, performance, and operational excellence, and support junior engineers through mentorship and reviews.\n\nWhat you'll do (role and responsibilities) : \n\n- Own the design, implementation, testing, and rollout of product features end-to-end.\n\n- Build and maintain backend services with strong reliability, performance, and security standards.\n\n- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, improve data correctness, and enhance performance for reporting/data workflows.\n\n- Drive code quality through code reviews, testing practices, and refactoring initiatives.\n\n- Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to translate customer needs into robust technical solutions.\n\n- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.\n\n- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide engineering best practices.\n\nWhat you'll bring (required skills and experience) : \n\n- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n\n- 5+ years of software development experience delivering high-quality, scalable systems.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, SQL, and familiarity with NoSQL.\n\n- Experience writing complex SQL queries and optimizing performance (query plans, indexes, scalability).\n\n- Experience with microservices architecture and cloud platforms such as AWS.\n\n- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.\n\n- Working knowledge / hands-on exposure to Javascript frameworks (React / Angular / Vue) is a plus.\n\n- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.\n\nNice to have (preferred) : \n\n- Experience designing/consuming RESTful APIs (added advantage).\n\n- Experience with a query builder / query engine.\n\n- Experience building reporting/analytics products or working in revenue/finance domains.\n\n- Experience mentoring developers and leading technical initiatives
