The ideal candidate will bring strong enterprise experience across security engineering, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and cloud security.\nThis is a hands-on technical engineering role, focused on building, configuring, investigating, tuning, and automating security technologies. The role is not primarily focused on governance, risk, compliance, policy, or security management, but on strengthening the organization’s security posture through practical technical implementation and continuous improvement.\nResponsibilities:\nSecurity Operations & SIEM: Design, configure, and optimize Microsoft Sentinel, including data ingestion, analytics rules, workbooks, alerts, and security monitoring.\nThreat Detection & Hunting: Develop and tune detection capabilities using Microsoft Defender XDR and KQL, and proactively hunt for suspicious activity and emerging threats.\nIdentity & Cloud Security: Implement and maintain security controls across Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and cloud environments, with a focus on identity protection and Zero Trust principles.\nEndpoint & Network Security: Engineer and improve security controls across endpoints, networks, and cloud infrastructure to reduce attack surface and strengthen protection.\nIncident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, perform technical analysis, support containment and remediation, and contribute to post-incident improvements.\nVulnerability Management: Manage and improve vulnerability identification, prioritization, remediation, and reporting across enterprise technology environments.\nSecurity Automation: Develop automation and integrations to improve detection, investigation, response, and operational efficiency.\nZero Trust: Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of Zero Trust security architecture across identity, devices, applications, data, and infrastructure.\nSecurity Engineering: Evaluate security technologies, implement technical solutions, and continuously tune existing controls to address evolving threats.\nSecurity Frameworks: Apply principles from the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and industry best practices to strengthen technical security capabilities.\nRequirements\n7-10+ years of hands-on experience with bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, cyber security or equivalent\nStrong practical experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and KQL.\nStrong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure security, endpoint security, network security, and cloud security.\nDemonstrated experience with incident response, threat detection, threat hunting, and security investigations.\nHands-on experience with vulnerability management and security remediation.\nExperience implementing Zero Trust security principles in an enterprise environment.\nStrong scripting, automation, and security orchestration capabilities.\nAbility to analyze complex security events and translate findings into effective technical controls and remediation.\nWorking knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and its application within an enterprise security environment.\nStrong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.\nBenefits\n Competitive Salary\n Healthcare Benefit Package\n Career Growth","description_format":"text","description_chars":3752,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[{"name":"United States","iso":"US","kind":"country"}],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cybersecurity","Information Security","Delivery","Security Operations"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-24T16:45:55Z"}],"liveness":{"score":90,"band":"hot","label":"Hiring now","p_open":1,"p_active":0.903,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":8,"reasons":["conf:0","velocity","win:early"],"computed_at":"2026-09-25T05:45:01Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/charger-logistics-inc-senior-cybersecurity-engineer-3","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/charger-logistics-inc-senior-cybersecurity-engineer-3.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-09-26T01:31:27Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1499,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3501,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-09-27T00:00:00Z"}}}
