You’ll design and write production Rust services, improve performance, and work closely with DevOps, QA and product teams. You’ll own your code from design through production.\nResponsibilities:\nDesign, build and maintain high-performance backend services and libraries in Rust.\nWrite clean, well-tested, maintainable code and take part in code reviews.\nBuild asynchronous, concurrent systems using Tokio and related libraries.\nDesign APIs and service-to-service communication using REST, gRPC and messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ).\nWork with PostgreSQL and other data stores (Redis, MongoDB), including schema design, indexing and query tuning.\nProfile, benchmark and optimize services for latency, throughput and memory use.\nAdd logging, metrics and tracing (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) and help debug production incidents.\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments and testing standards.\nMentor junior developers and help spread good Rust practices across the team.\nRequirements\n5+ years of professional backend development, including 1+ years of production Rust.\nStrong command of Rust fundamentals: ownership and borrowing, lifetimes, traits, error handling and async/await.\nHands-on experience with Tokio and common crates (Serde, Axum or Actix, SQLx or Diesel).\nSolid understanding of concurrency, multithreading and memory management.\nExperience with PostgreSQL and at least one messaging system (Kafka or RabbitMQ).\nExperience with Docker, Git and CI/CD pipelines, and comfort working on Linux.\nExperience profiling and optimizing performance-critical code.\nStrong communication skills and the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly.\nNice to Have\nBackground in C or C++, Go, Python or Java alongside Rust.\nExperience with gRPC, Kubernetes, and a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP).\nExperience with low-latency systems, trading or fintech platforms.\nExperience with embedded systems, networking or security tooling.\nOpen-source contributions to Rust projects.\nFamiliarity with Terraform or Helm.\nExperience
