Saving children.®\nThis position interacts with divisional leadership, enterprise employees, and global donors of ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Advisor - Events Planner serves as a center of excellence for event planning and execution, bringing partners' visions to life through proven methodologies, exceptional standards, innovative ideas, and professional expertise.\nIn this role, you will collaborate with enterprise stakeholders to create memorable, mission-driven experiences that engage attendees, inspire support, and deepen connections to the St. Jude mission. The position may support a territory, multiple business units, and/or Signature Events initiatives.\nKey Responsibilities:\nEvent Planning & Execution\nProvide strategic event planning and logistics support for internal and external meetings and events involving donors, staff, volunteers, patient families, and guests.\nLead planning and execution for small- to medium-sized events, ensuring seamless delivery from concept through completion.\nManage event design, décor, food and beverage planning, and vendor relationships for mid- to high-tier events.\nPartner with Marketing to secure and coordinate branded St. Jude collateral and event materials.\nProject & Vendor Management\nConduct market research, gather event-related information, and negotiate with vendors and service providers.\nUtilize project management best practices to ensure events are delivered on time and within budget.\nDevelop and recommend event planning resources, including agendas, event recaps, event checklists, Statements of Service (SOS), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and budgets.\nMaintain and utilize internal event management systems and databases.\nStakeholder & Committee Engagement\nBuild strong relationships with clients, committee members, and key stakeholders to identify needs and deliver exceptional event experiences.\nSet meeting agendas, facilitate planning discussions, and ensure timely follow-up with committees and external partners.\nServe as a trusted advisor by recommending event strategies and solutions that support organizational objectives and stakeholder satisfaction.\nContinuous Improvement\nResearch, analyze, and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and support cost savings.\nProactively address issues and troubleshoot challenges before and during event execution.\nConduct pre-event and post-event evaluations and report outcomes, insights, and recommendations.\nLeadership & Decision-Making\nAssists with planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work to ensure quality standards are achieved.\nSupports training efforts and may provide input regarding hiring, compensation, and performance-related decisions.\nOperates with considerable independence and discretion in applying established best practices, standards, and guidelines.\nSolves highly varied, complex, and often non-routine challenges requiring creativity, innovation, and sound judgment.\nMakes recommendations that influence policies, procedures, and operational practices while working within ALSAC objectives and guidelines.\nQualifications:\nRequired\nBachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience in event planning, meeting management, hospitality, nonprofit events, or a related field.\nIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.\nStrong project management, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.\nThe position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as necessary to support events and key organizational priorities.\nDriver’s License Required.\nPreferred\nExperience with Cvent and AutoCAD.\nCertified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification.\nAdditional event industry certifications are a plus.\nEquivalent Experience\nIn lieu of a bachelor's degree, 7-8 years of related professional experience may be considered.\nThis role is eligible for a hybrid schedule with regular attendance at our Territory Office located at 3750 NW 87th Avenue, Suite 100\nDoral, FL 33178.
