Saving children.®\nJob Description\nThe Audit Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-impact internal audit engagements that add value and strengthen organizational operations. This role provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services by evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, governance processes, financial reporting, and operational efficiency.\nReporting to the Chief Audit Officer, the Audit Manager operates with significant independence, exercising sound judgment and leadership while overseeing audit activities and mentoring audit staff.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, manage, and deliver complex audit engagements from planning through reporting, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with organizational priorities\nDevelop risk-based audit plans, including scope, objectives, methodologies, timelines, and resource allocation\nConduct and oversee risk assessments, process walkthroughs, and control evaluations to identify key risks and define audit strategies\nDesign and execute comprehensive audit programs and procedures aligned with audit objectives\nOversee audit fieldwork, including control testing, data analysis, and evaluation of financial and operational processes\nAssess audit results, identify control deficiencies, and evaluate risk exposure\nDevelop practical, sustainable, and risk-based recommendations and effectively influence stakeholders to implement improvements\nPrepare and review clear, concise, and well-supported audit reports and executive presentations for leadership and the Board Audit Committee\nBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across the organization; effectively manage conflict and drive alignment\nLead audit follow-up activities to ensure timely and effective remediation of audit findings\nProvide guidance, coaching, and review of work performed by audit staff (if applicable)\nStay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing, risk management, and controls\nEnsure all audit activities comply with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing\nCommunicate proactively with the Chief Audit Officer on audit progress, key risks, and emerging issues\nQualifications & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.\n5+ years of progressive internal audit experience, including leading complex audits and managing full audit lifecycles\nCertified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent (e.g., CPA, CISA, etc.) certification required, or ability to obtain certification within two years of hire\nDemonstrated experience developing audit programs and driving audit execution independently\nStrong knowledge of:IIA Internal Audit Standards\nCOSO framework and risk assessment methodologies\nGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)\n\nThis position is based at ALSAC’s National Executive Office in Memphis, TN and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.\nBenefits & Perks\nThe following Benefits & Perks apply toFull-Time Roles Only .\nWe’re dedicated to ensuring children and their families have every opportunity to enjoy life’s special moments.
