The Jr Systems Administrator is responsible for taking the first level tickets once escalated to the team. In this role it is vital in ensuring the IT infrastructure runs smoothly while building a foundation for more advanced responsibilities in the future. In this role, you'll primarily focus on setting up/decom user accounts and computers and troubleshoot basic day to day tickets with the first level of support, making a significant impact on our team.\nResponsibilities\nDiagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues \nSupport operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS \nManage user accounts using tools like Active Directory \nAssist with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting \nProvide basic networking support (IP configuration, DNS, VPN) \nConfigure, install, and support desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals \nCoordinate with third-party vendors and IT teams for repairs, updates, and troubleshooting \nProvide timely, professional support to end users \nCommunicate clearly and explain technical issues to non-technical users \nMaintain accurate documentation and time entries \nBuild strong relationships with clients and ensure high satisfaction \nHandle user concerns calmly and professionally, including de-escalation \nOther duties as assigned. \nRequirements\nAn associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. \n2+ years of experience working in an MSP, internal IT environment, or a similar technical support setting.\nPerferred certifactions: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Server+, CySA+, MS-900, AZ-900, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity \nStrong communication skills are essential for success in this role. \nAbility to manage multiple tasks and collaborate effectively within a fast-paced, client-focused team. \nEnthusiastic about taking on challenges in a growing company with a diverse client base. \nSelf-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. \nExcellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. \nBenefits\nCharles IT offers a competitive benefits program including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Paid Holidays, PTO, 401K, and bonuses.
