In this role, you will oversee daily accounting activities, ensure financial accuracy, and support companywide decision-making by maintaining strong financial controls. You’ll manage core functions such as daily transaction posting, reconciliations, tax compliance, and financial reporting, with a commitment to accuracy, ethical practices, and GAAP compliance.\nThe Senior Accountant also works closely with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial review processes, making this role a key contributor to the financial health and success of Charles IT.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure daily financial transactions - including payables and receivables - are posted timely and accurately. \nEnsure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal tax regulations. \nContinuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and internal controls. \nAssist with and oversee AP/AR functions. \nProcess payroll timely and accurately. \nOversee and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. \nCollaborate with cross-functional departments to gather financial data and provide financial guidance as needed. \nPerform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. \nPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. \nLead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders. \nAdditional responsibilities may be included on an as needed basis \nRequirements\nBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. \n5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles. \nSage Intacct experience is preferred \nExtensive hands-on experience with Excel\nCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred \nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities. \nExcellent attention to detail and organization. \nAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate financial information clearly. \nHigh integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices. \nAbility to pass a background check. \nProven ability to manage complex financial tasks and interpret financial data. \nStrong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. \nHigh attention to detail and accuracy. \nBenefits\nAt Charles IT, we believe that great people do their best work when they feel supported, empowered, and connected.
