In this role, you will serve as a trusted partner to assigned clients, connecting their business goals with technology strategy while providing guidance on technical challenges, escalations, and long-term IT planning. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who builds lasting client relationships, collaborates effectively across teams, and brings exceptional organization and attention to detail.\nResponsibilities\nServe as a trusted technology advisor, aligning client IT strategies with business objectives and long-term growth plans.\nCommunicate technology recommendations, risks, and strategic initiatives to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.\nAssess client environments to identify opportunities for improved security, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.\nDevelop and maintain IT roadmaps, lead strategic business reviews, oversee technology budgets, and support compliance initiatives.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for strategic guidance, issue resolution, and escalations.\nCollaborate with internal technical teams to identify client needs, define project scope, and prioritize technology initiatives.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to internal team members while promoting collaboration across departments.\nEnsure client technology strategies align with industry best practices, security standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequirements\n5+ years of experience in IT consulting, account management, or technical leadership, preferably within a managed service provider (MSP) environment.\nDemonstrated experience in strategic IT planning, technology budgeting, and working directly with C-suite executives and business leaders.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to translate business objectives into effective technology strategies and solutions.\nRelevant industry certifications, such as MCSA, VCP, or CCNA, are preferred.\nFamiliarity with ConnectWise, Cisco, Meraki, Datto, VMware, Microsoft 365, and advanced macOS support is a plus.\nExcellent organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills, with a strong commitment to follow-through in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nSelf-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently and with minimal supervision.\nAbility to work an average of approximately 47 hours per week, including occasional evening client dinners and industry events.\nMust possess a valid U.S. driver's license and successfully pass a background check.\nBenefits\nAt Charles IT, we believe that great people do their best work when they feel supported, empowered, and connected.
