The organization’s mission is to operationalize Schwab’s cloud capabilities to enable the scalable and secure migration of Enterprise applications to our multi-cloud infrastructure.\nThis Cloud Engineer will work closely with other cloud engineers, cloud security engineers, data center engineers, application developers, and internal/external customers to provide and maintain cloud solutions. The individual must have worked in an Enterprise Environment that includes experience in large scale cloud solutions supporting virtualized workloads. This position requires hands on experience and ability to test/validate, troubleshoot and implement cloud-based solutions.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\n3+ years’ experience working in Public/Private Cloud Infrastructure and/or Public/Private Cloud Application Operations (GCP, Azure, AWS)\n3+ years’ experience in Infrastructure as Code - Leveraging Terraform including building/using net new modules, maintaining including identifying and resolving issues with existing modules.\nDelivered impactful results in previous experiences around scaling, standardizing, visualizing or observing core services \nExperience using DevOps Tools Suite (Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins)\nTroubleshoots and resolves technical issues using best practices to support live applications\nExperience with ITIL Operations Processes (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management)\nPrioritizes compliance, security, and scalability of data systems\nExecutes strategies to restore services promptly and address disruptions\nDesigns scalable, consistent environments that reduce risk and increase reliability\nOptimizes planning and development through advanced tool integration\nAddresses QA challenges by applying best practices in testing and compliance\nValidates requirements and constraints to support effective development and operations\nMonitors and addresses security policy violations using best practices\nResolves software design challenges using predictive and adaptive methods\nApplies best practices to build, test, and validate software components while resolving issues\nConsolidates software changes into secure, stable releases using best practices\nEnsures systems align with cloud architectures using modern design methodologies\nPreferred Qualifications\nConducts in-depth analysis, evaluates factors, and influences decisions with insights\nEnsures stakeholders has the necessary information for informed decisions\nAnalyzes market dynamics, provides guidance to peers, and aligns work with business goals\nTrusts colleagues to manage outcomes\nAnticipates consequences of situations and acts to prepare for contingencies in assigned tasks\nIdentifies opportunities for process improvements and implements creative solutions\nInfluences team quality and effectiveness with decisions\nVerbally presents ideas confidently, ensuring mutual understanding\nDelivers powerful messages with persuasive language to drive viewpoint adoption\nChooses effective methods to reach ambitious goals and measure outcomes\nApplies specialized expertise to support initiatives that optimize performance\nProduces work that meets or exceeds quality expectations\nWrites concise, well-structured, and engaging business documents\nBachelors degree in Compute Science or technical field\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
