This role will immerse themselves in our tech stack (Java / Spring Boot) while harnessing GitHub CoPilot to drive “forward thinking” approaches to building software. Our Billing Solutions Technology team oversees a best-in-class suite of applications comprised of SaaS and in-house developed applications supporting the diverse billing needs of the Schwab products and services provided to our clients. Our technology consists of internal user interfaces, system integrations, data aggregation, complex fee calculation logic, and reporting capabilities that processes Billions of dollars in revenue for Schwab. You’ll be responsible for delivering high quality solutions that support Managed Investing product launches in a flexible, collaborative and rapidly changing delivery environment. Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and deliver solutions as part of an Agile Scrum team.\nLeverage understanding of software development principles and practices to help mentor and coach junior team members.\nSupport and triage issues and participate in production support to help develop resilient and secure systems to prevent issues that impact on our clients.\nCollaborate with product owners and business stakeholders to define strategy and scope of software requirements (decompose stories, design features, and prioritize tasks)\nDelivering new concepts and features, working alongside development peers in an agile environment\nUtilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test-driven development to achieve the highest quality in software deliver\nDrive the low-level design of software components and libraries used to implement business use cases \nParticipate in migrating software product releases into the Production environment.\nProactively identify risks, establish mitigation plans, and maintain documentation and code quality standards.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\n4+ years of experience developing large scale software solutions using: Java, Spring and spring boot framework, Spring Cloud Dataflow and other cloud frameworks, \nand REST API’s supporting high volume transactions in a highly available environment.\n4+ years’ experience implementing automated unit tests, acceptance tests and integration tests following industry best practices. \n4+ years’ experience working with databases like MongoDB, Aerospike, and/or PostgreSQL/DB2. \n3+ years’ experience building messaging applications using messaging technologies (Rabbit MQ, Kafka, or equivalent).\n3+ years of experience with authentication protocols like OAuth and SAML.\n3+ years of experience in authoring and maintaining integration layers with vendor systems. \nDemonstrated knowledge of Agile methodology and experience in an Agile working environment.\nStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the demonstrable ability to communicate effectively at all levels. \nDemonstrated ability in solution discovery and crafting a design based in engineering principles. \nTrack record of pursuing and maintaining high quality while delivering on tight schedules. \nCollaborative mindset coupled with a bias for action to effectively engage with all areas of the business including Product Management, Architects, SRE, and adjacent teams, etc. \nAbility to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.\nAbility to effectively engage subject matter experts and understand technical topics. \nDemonstrated ability to discuss conflicting viewpoints, argue your case with data, and commit to delivery regardless of the selected direction. \nAbility to analyze and solve problems creatively.\nTrack record of mentoring and coaching resulting in a stronger organization. \nPositive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, related degree, OR related practical experience.\n4+ years of experience in cloud deployment in a continuous integration, and continuous delivery model (CI/CD), technologies like GitHub, Bamboo, GitLab, and Launch Darkly.\n3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, or GCP. \n2+ years Prior experience in IT Transformations and system modernization initiatives from legacy to distributed platforms, i.e., Mainframe Cobol apps/DB2 to Java apps/SQL\nExperience implementing batch application using Spring framework using control-m scheduler. \nExperience in JavaScript frameworks like Angular JS\nProficient in developing Visio diagrams, architectural and design documentations, functional and technical specifications, automated test processes. \nWillingness to learn all aspects of tech stack and document. \nAbility to research and document production and test environments along with architecture and design work. \nExperience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA and Confluence)\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive
