As we enter our fifth decade, we are looking for talented, innovative and driven people who believe they can help themselves, and our clients, create a better future.\nThe Internal Audit Department (IAD) of The Charles Schwab Corporation provides independent and objective assessments to figure out whether all significant risks are identified and appropriately reported by management and risk functions to the Board and Executive Management, to evaluate whether risks are adequately controlled, and to challenge Executive Management to improve the efficiency of governance processes, risk management, and internal controls.\nWe have a full-time position available for an entry level, Staff IT Auditor that will focus on execution, within our Technology Team. The technology internal audit department is responsible for the execution of infrastructure, and project audits. Infrastructure audits focus on systems and technology that support and secure Charles Schwab applications with a focus on areas such as cybersecurity, data center, IT operations, change management, network security, and cloud computing. Project audits are assessments over key initiatives to figure out whether intended business objectives were met and to identify risks or issues early.\nWhat you will do:\nYou will assist in planning and executing audits within IT Infrastructure and Applications.\nYou will participate in internal team meetings, as well as meetings with the business.\nYou will perform internal audit controls testing and issue follow-up testing.\nYou will assist with Internal Audit operational tasks such as management of audit status, issue status, audit file preparation and implementation.\nYou will be responsible for handling your own tasks and letting teams know of your availability for work.\nWhat you have\nA relevant degree. Degree Programs Considered: Information Systems, Computer Science, Accountancy, Internal Audit, Business Technology\n2 years or less of job experience.\nStrong communication skills (written and verbal).\nSelf-starter with solid organizational skills.\nAbility to track multiple projects (2-3) going on at the same time, demonstrating an ability to analyze and prioritize to meet multiple deadlines.\nAbility to work as a member of a project team and cultivate a strong working relationship with external co-sourcing providers and internal lines of businesses.\nDemonstrates willingness to learn and grow.\nInitiative to research, understand and analyze a variety of situations or processes.\nWilling to travel up to 15%-20%\nWhat you will learn:\nHow to analyze and understand highly complex business problems that are part of operating in the financial industry.\nTo execute and examine various audit plans and learn control testing strategies.\nTo execute internal audits in accordance with department procedures.\nTo identify and assess inherent risk and controls to mitigate those risks.\nTo perform audit issue follow-up and how document results of that testing.\nYou will experience and learn about how Internal Audit operates in a highly regulated environment.\nHow Internal Audit operates within the enterprise risk management framework as the third line of defense.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
