This is an opportunity to work on innovative, scalable technology solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment. You will be part of the technical team, partnering with technical and business stakeholders to design and maintain optimal programming and technology solutions. This role involves gathering detailed requirements, architecting and developing solutions, and supporting strategic planning discussions with technical, business, and client stakeholders.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field\n5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on development with Java and the Spring Framework\nExperience with Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and enterprise application development\nExperience designing and implementing application features and resolving complex technical problems\nWorking knowledge of SQL and relational databases\nExperience with automated testing, Git, Bamboo, and CI/CD practices\nExperience working in Agile development teams\nAbility to independently deliver assigned work and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nStrong problem-solving, verbal communication, and technical writing skills\nExperience deploying and supporting applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or a comparable cloud platform\nWorking knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ and non-relational databases such as MongoDB preferred\nExperience using Rally, Jira, and Confluence, along with supporting high-volume, highly available enterprise applications preferred\nWhat You'll Do\nServe as a member of the technical team, working independently on smaller initiatives and partnering closely with other development teams across Schwab to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions\nContribute to the success of critical projects by supporting the delivery of essential risk management systems\nDesign, develop, and maintain Java applications and services using Spring and Spring Boot\nBuild and integrate REST APIs that support high-volume transactions in highly available environments\nTranslate business and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions\nOwn assigned features through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support\nWrite automated unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot application issues\nCreate technical documentation, design diagrams, and API specifications\nCollaborate with business analysts, architects, and distributed development teams to deliver project and release commitments\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to improvements in application performance, scalability, and delivery practices\nGrow with the team through knowledge sharing and continuous adoption of best practices\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
