If you are eager to learn, experiment, and continuously improve-especially through the use of emerging AI tools-we encourage you to apply.\nKey Responsibilities\nContribute to the design, development, and implementation of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.\n\nDeliver high-quality, testable code using secure development practices and modern engineering standards.\n\nParticipate in constructive and inclusive code reviews that encourage learning and shared ownership.\n\nBuild Proof-of-Concept solutions and reusable patterns to accelerate development and innovation.\n\nPrepare and maintain architecture, design, and system documentation; collaborate with architects to ensure alignment and approvals.\n\nCoordinate with onshore and offshore engineering partners in a respectful and collaborative manner.\n\nDevelop CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo and GitHub Actions.\n\nWrite and maintain automated unit tests to support high-quality delivery.\n\nParticipate fully in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.\n\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\n4+ years of related experience required; BS/MS degree preferred or equivalent experience.\n\n3+ years of professional hands-on experience developing and reviewing Java code, with a focus on clean, maintainable design.\n\nExperience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MongoDB).\n\nExperience using Spring or Spring Boot frameworks.\n\nExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices, ideally in a cloud-based environment.\n\nExperience developing CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Bamboo, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, or Travis CI.\n\nUnderstanding of distributed systems, integration patterns (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit).\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in an Agile environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience using AI tools to enhance code quality, automate testing, or accelerate development.\n\nFamiliarity with cloud-native development or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).\n\nExperience with monitoring and performance engineering tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, DataDog, PCF metrics).\n\nExperience with test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), or frameworks such as Cucumber or Selenium.\n\nFront-end development experience with Angular or React.\n\nCross-functional communication and collaboration\n\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
