You’ll contribute to software solutions that help power a high-volume trading environment supporting more than 2 million trades per day.\nWorking as part of an Agile Scrum team, you’ll develop, test, troubleshoot, and support secure and resilient Java applications while building your technical expertise. You’ll collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technology partners to understand requirements, solve problems, and deliver quality solutions. Your analytical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills will help you investigate issues, contribute to production support, and continuously improve how the team delivers technology for Schwab clients.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\nSoftware development experience using Java gained through relevant coursework, technical training, certifications, internships, or professional experience \nSoftware Development skills with the ability to develop, test, troubleshoot, and support applications \nAnalytical Thinking and Problem Solving skills with the ability to evaluate technical issues and contribute practical solutions \nCommunication and Collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and business partners \nExperience using an integrated development environment, preferably IntelliJ, and familiarity with source code repositories such as GitHub or Bitbucket \nExperience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Generative AI tools to support software development activities \nPreferred Qualifications\n1+ years of software development experience, including relevant internship experience \nExperience developing applications using Java in an academic, internship, or professional setting \nExperience or relevant knowledge of financial services or trading \nExposure to messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ, Solace, FTL, or Redpanda \nExposure to observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Splunk \nExposure to Oracle RAC, Oracle Coherence, Docker, or Kubernetes \nFamiliarity with Jira, Confluence, or Bamboo \nLearning
