We monitor and ensure adherence to regulatory ratios including the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and associated public disclosures, Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), FR 2052a Liquidity Monitoring Report. We also monitor Liquidity Stress Testing (LST) to maintain robust contingent liquidity buffer and develop analytical tools to assist our business partners in analyzing the liquidity impacts of business decisions. This group is responsible for the design of company liquidity management policies, contingent funding planning, ensuring compliance at all times, and escalating issues to senior management as necessary. We work with internal and external partners on multiple ongoing examinations and audits of liquidity practices. This is an individual contributor role within the Liquidity Analytics group\nWhat you have\nExperience with data analysis and data interpretation, including experience with very large data sets;\nAdvanced SQL skill to extract information from various applications and systems and to identify and research anomalies\nExcellent analytical, strategic planning, complex problem resolution and leadership skills;\nAbility to translate complex business problems into discrete quantifiable components;\nKnowledge of regulatory rules (LCR, NSFR, Enhanced Prudential Standards, Basel III, Liquidity Stress Testing), is highly preferred;\nBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus;\n5+ years of related work experience in a financial organization;\nGeneral understanding of statistical methodologies and applications;\nBasic knowledge of finance and accounting, particularly in the bank and broker-dealer space;\nAdvanced skills in Excel;\nKnowledge of Python or other program language (AI tool) is a plus;\nExcellent oral and written communication skills;\nAbility to construct and utilize complex financial models;\nStrong interpersonal and management skills with the demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and to interact effectively with senior management;\nStrong project management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple, changing priorities;\nWhat you'll do:\nAssist in sizing liquidity buffer requirements and forecast BAU cash flow projections; identify liquidity gap to assist funding desk to form funding strategies; \nMonitor customer daily activities, investigate large transactions to identify liquidity impacts and provide sweep and key balances prediction to assist cash management and liquidity planning\nProduce, monitor, and assess daily Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and liquidity limit, recommend updates and changes as the business evolves and ensure liquidity risk is appropriately captured\nMaintain the backend scripts, recommend updates and changes as the business evolves and ensure liquidity risk is appropriately captured \nPartner with the cash management team, develop and automate cash forecasting capabilities\nResearch customer activities, deposit behaviors and provide insightful analysis for liquidity forecasting \nAssist in monitoring the LCR/NSFR ratios and providing business analysis for ongoing compliance\nPartner with the Liquidity Projects and Technology teams to review business requirements\nContribute to ad hoc analytical projects, primarily related to liquidity.\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
