Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.\nWhat you have\nRequired Skills -\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.\n9+ years of professional software development experience in enterprise web application development, with full-stack Java expertise and demonstrated experience mentoring junior developers.\n5+ years building REST services supporting high-volume, highly available environments.\n6+ years of experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.\n4+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).\nDemonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve coding productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity; willingness to adopt and champion AI tooling as part of standard engineering practice.\nStrong proficiency in RESTful service design and implementation using Spring Boot.\nSolid understanding of CI/CD concepts, unit testing principles, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines.\nExperience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo) strongly preferred.\nDemonstrated knowledge of software design patterns and SOLID principles.\nAbility to review requirements, produce a technical design, implement, and fully test the solution across unit, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills; able to effectively engage technical and business stakeholders at all levels.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, distributed environment.\nPreferred Skills -\nExperience with Spring Batch processing.\nExperience working in a highly regulated or financial services environment.\nFamiliarity with Agile methodology and demonstrated experience working within Agile teams.\nAbility to research, document, and maintain architecture, design, and environment documentation across production and non-production systems.\nWillingness to learn and contribute across the full technology stack, including documentation of new capabilities as they are adopted.\nCuriosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI and automation tooling, with a desire to explore how these capabilities can be applied to improve team efficiency and software quality.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
