Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.\nWhat you have\nRole Description\nThe Schwab Corporate Applications SAvE team, part of Technology Shared Services, supports the internal platforms behind Schwab's Compliance, Legal, Accounting, Finance, and Vendor Management functions. We are looking for a senior engineer in Hyderabad to lead the technical support of these platforms during the India business day. This is a senior individual contributor role. You will own reliability for a set of applications, lead the response to complex incidents, guide other engineers, and work daily with US-based application owners and engineering teams.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn the reliability and day-to-day health of a portfolio of Corporate Applications during India business hours \nAct as the senior technical escalation point for complex and high-severity incidents, and lead the response through to resolution \nLead problem management: find root causes, drive lasting fixes, and track remediation across teams \nGuide and review the work of other engineers, including Schwab India staff and vendor resources \nSet and enforce standards for monitoring, automation, runbooks, and documentation \nHand off work cleanly to and from US teams at the start and end of each shift \nRepresent the team in change, disaster recovery, and audit reviews \nResponsibilities will include\nLead support for production incidents and daily batch and ETL processing across the Corporate Applications stack (e.g., Compliance One, Actimize/CDD, FCCM, eCounsel, Insight, OFSAA, PeopleSoft Financials, Ariba, Clarity) \nMonitor critical batch schedules in Control-M; resolve failures, reruns, and data exceptions \nPlan and run disaster recovery tests, patching, certificate renewals, and non-business-hours releases \nDesign and deliver automation for deployment, infrastructure, monitoring, and routine health checks \nLead root cause analysis for recurring and systemic issues and drive durable fixes with engineering teams \nReport status and risk clearly to US stakeholders and senior leaders \nMentor engineers and support hiring, onboarding, and knowledge transfer from current support resources \nParticipate in and guide the on-call rotation \nOther duties as assigned \nWhat you have\n10+ years of production support, site reliability, or systems engineering experience, including time as a technical lead \nBachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience \nDeep hands-on experience with Linux and Windows in an enterprise production environment \nStrong SQL skills (Oracle or SQL Server) for troubleshooting data and batch issues \nProven ability to lead incident response, mentor engineers, and drive work across teams with limited direction \nStrong experience with enterprise batch scheduling (Control-M preferred) \nExperience with ITSM tools (Remedy/SmartIT or ServiceNow) and monitoring tools (Splunk preferred) \nScripting skills for automation (PowerShell, Python, or shell) \nClear written and spoken English, and comfort working daily with US-based teams \nExperience with compliance, legal, financial, or procurement applications a strong plus \nExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) a plus \nFinancial services experience a plus.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab India, you’re empowered to shape your future.
