Working in an Agile environment, you will partner with Product Owners, Architects, business partners, and engineers to translate complex needs into reliable applications, APIs, and distributed solutions.\nYou will influence solution design, improve software quality through testing and code reviews, and strengthen application reliability, performance, security, and operational readiness. Success requires sound decision-making, ownership, and the ability to troubleshoot production issues and drive sustainable solutions. You will also contribute to automation and continuous delivery practices, use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity and quality, and share technical knowledge with engineers across onshore and offshore teams.\nWhat you have\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of software engineering experience developing enterprise applications.\nExperience building web applications, APIs, and distributed solutions using modern software development practices.\nProgramming experience with .NET, .NET Core, or C#, and/or Java and Spring Boot.\nExperience with REST APIs, microservices, and Angular or other modern user interface frameworks.\nExperience working with relational and NoSQL databases.\nExperience with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.\nWorking knowledge of cloud platforms and containerized environments.\nExperience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, source control systems, and automated testing frameworks.\nStrong troubleshooting, debugging, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders across the organization.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.\nExperience leading technical initiatives or mentoring team members.\nExperience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Pivotal Cloud Foundry.\nExperience with observability, resiliency, and production support practices.\nExperience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development, testing, or operational efficiency.\nDemonstrated commitment to continuous learning and innovation.\nIn addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.\nWhat’s in it for you\nAt Schwab, you’re empowered to shape your future.
